I agree, I think it's a significant minority but minority none the less who are misanthropes, any "lost faith in humanity" posts will normally be out-numbered by rebukes. As a community we're a mix of all sorts really and when threads touch on the topic, despite our "most people are introverts" attitude the majority of posters do have a life outside of the internet.

We are the most technologically advanced species in the entire known universe. How could you not be amazed and impressed by that?

I'm one joyous person. I've always noticed on here that the older people (age 21+) are a lot happier than the kiddos.

Also, it always seems that the Americans are a generally happier bunch than the English.

It's full of a bunch of angsty high school and college students who became inspired by Yahtzee and THINK they are misanthropes, but who are actually a bunch of lonely guys who need a chill pill, a hug, and a good cry.

I remember when this was a gaming site and not the oprah forums. Anyone else remember that? Now, EVERY post I see is either about relationships, generic shooters, how call of duty sucks, how people should stop saying call of duty sucks, how all games these days suck because a lot of generic shooters are coming out, how someone has lost their faith in humanity, why people should stop losing faith in humanity, how people should be more happy, minecraft which I'm really starting to wish I owned, bioware game threads, and EA/Activision is evil. Can we please get some more damn variety? I don't see many threads about sandbox games around here, maybe I should start a few. Maybe some NES threads, maybe some puzzle or flight sim threads. But seriously, I see the same damn few topics every week. Can we at least try not to be a broken record?

Well OP I fear I do not hate people, I have just had several events in life force me to harden up or rack up. That plus my lack of patience, if you are not useful get out of my way, I suppose I could come off as a misanthrope if you just glanced at me.

Deep breath and don't try to change people it will only leave you jaded as you will never succeed on a grand scale, work on one person that wants help.
