What about Russia? there land mass is about the same as yours (although I am not sure on the population) and I haven't seen anything about them shooting up schools But I only looked on that one website which was from 1996.Berethond said:Well, statistics lie. The U.S. has a much higher population than the U.K. or Germany, so it would stand to reason we would have more of everything. Our population is five times the U.K.'s, so we should have five times as many school shootings.omega 616 said:snip
Your post made me die a little inside, you expect 5 times as many school shootings? Just so complacently, like it's just part of life and you just have to accept it.
If stats lie, why should we bother linking to any sites sourcing our information?
I know the US isn't street after street of corpses and every person left alive is walking round like a cop in an action film clearing rooms.tsb247 said:snip
I also know you guys have some laws about guns like caliber, type of ammo and maybe automatic weapons but I still think allowing people to own a gun and making it so easy to get one is asking for trouble, now people know how to get them it will be impossible to stop, they can't stop dugs and they have never been legal. (admittedly guns are alot harder to hide)
I know it's mostly to do with drugs and gang wars over territory but no matter were these occur innocent people will be caught in the cross fire, at some point.
It's just a group of people get guns, so people get guns to protect themselves from guns till everybody is just a little tense and thats when people get killed, if nobody had guns in the first place wouldn't it a better place to live?
Can we drop this now 'cos it's kind of off topic, this thread is about your first gun and I unknowing trolled, sorry for that. It's also not going to change anything, gun crime will always be a problem in this messed up world.
