I liked the new Bionic Commando. Also, there's nothing wrong with hating Ezio; he's a bad character, he's just part of a successful franchise.
I don't like first person game that let you shoot/attack with any real effectiveness, I'd rather spend hours sneaking around and then go running, screaming, for the nearest lockable door when the terrible evil pops out.

Forgive me father for I have sinned, I can't use an Xbox controller effectively. I never owned an N64 and have only played Golden Eye once (ever). I am completely unable to play any game the relies on point and click to move. Baulder's gate was the worst game I've ever played. That pretty much covers all my gaming cardinal sins.

I think that Oblivion was, in many ways, actually a step up from Morrowind in gameplay. In story and immersion and environment, it was a lot worse, but straight up gameplay was generally better, I thought.

I hate regenerating health and have always seen it as a cheat you can't turn off, it's the reason I can't take CoD seriously.
I'm going to attempt to sound as if I'm not simply bashing as I type these:
Call of Duty games - they are not any good, at all. Boring weapons, boring-repetitive gameplay, poorly designed levels.
WET - Actually enjoyed this game a lot. Don't get me wrong, it needed a ton of work, but that didn't stop it from being a fun rage-out-powertrip.
Heavenly Sword - is better than any God of War game, or GoW clone.
Diablo Series - some of the worst gameplay mechanics ever invented, which cause it's clones like Dragon Age to also be unplayable.
RE5 - The best game of the series, and I don't find it racist even for a moment.

I do hope you aren't truly serious. Since when have I flamed anyone in here? I haven't flamed a single person in my entire time being an Escapist. I wasn't provoking anyone at all with my opinion that Majora's Mask is better than Ocarina of Time. That's my opinion and it went in conjunction to the other guys question on why Majora's Mask doesn't suffer the Nostalgia Goggles. That's based on pure personal taste, not logic. And here you are picking a fight with me after saying let's not fight. You've got some wonderful logic going on there, pal. Kindly go learn the difference between flaming, and stating your opinion, because clearly you don't know if you're going to accuse me of flaming and provoking krazykidd for his opinion. I still enjoy the old Nintendo franchises (Mario, Pokemon etc.) I still think they're fun, and I don't they're worn out yet. I like JRPGs. I like turn-based battle systems. That's not to say I don't like Western RPGs or other types of battle systems, it's just that I enjoy them all.

I´m not trying to attack you, and we are creating the same thing I wished to avoid. I was only trying to tell you that the way you put your opinion probably wasn´t the most correct one. krazykidd thought that Ocarina was better. There are many people in this thread that like Mass Effect 2, and many others hate it, and I haven´t seen a response like:" I dissagre, Mass Effect 2 his worse/better". I understand that you weren´t provoking him, but it could have easily been interpreted that way. Now, can we just stop this pointless discussion? The confusing part of your post was calling Dragon Age a clone of Diablo. I'd really like to hear your arguments for this, because I'm unable to imagine any way in which the Dragon Age series was a clone of Diablo.

While 2D gameplay is not automatically worse than 3D, I'd say that an AAA studio will always make a prettier game with 3D rendering than with sprites. Tekken is not automatically better than Street Fighter, but SF4 looks better than SSF2T HD Remix.Atmos Duality said:

Much of the artwork in later 2D games was made by rendering 3D models for this reason. And the animations were generally about 10 frames per second while the original 3D animations would have been 60fps or however fast your refresh rate is.
I don't think that Ocarina of Time holds up today. Granted, I never finished the game (mainly because I got bored of it), however, I made it to the bit with the frozen fish guy, so I think I made it far enough to give a somewhat accurate judgement of the game. Don't get me wrong, I think it's a very important game and has had a huge, positive impact on the gaming industry, but the game itself just doesn't compare to more modern titles.
