I'm going to attempt to sound as if I'm not simply bashing as I type these:
Call of Duty games - they are not any good, at all. Boring weapons, boring-repetitive gameplay, poorly designed levels.
WET - Actually enjoyed this game a lot. Don't get me wrong, it needed a ton of work, but that didn't stop it from being a fun rage-out-powertrip.
Heavenly Sword - is better than any God of War game, or GoW clone.
Diablo Series - some of the worst gameplay mechanics ever invented, which cause it's clones like Dragon Age to also be unplayable.
RE5 - The best game of the series, and I don't find it racist even for a moment.

I like the Wii. Yeah I said it. I think the games for it are fun, I don't mind motion controls, in some contexts I think they add to the game. I still enjoy the old Nintendo franchises (Mario, Pokemon etc.) I still think they're fun, and I don't they're worn out yet. Also I have a 3DS and I like it, it's interesting and the 3D is coll and fun to show off, and I'm excited for all the games coming out on it.

I like JRPGs. I like turn-based battle systems. That's not to say I don't like Western RPGs or other types of battle systems, it's just that I enjoy them all.

These opinions aren't exactly unpopular in general, but on this site expressing them will get you crucified.

I think mine would have been how I bought God of War 3 on its release and then never even played it. The only reason the package was even opened was because a friend came over and wanted to give it a try.

I'll ignore the first part, because that's just personal opinion. (I think that the Diablo games in general were among the best RPGs made thus far [I'm still not getting Diablo 3 though])

The confusing part of your post was calling Dragon Age a clone of Diablo. I'd really like to hear your arguments for this, because I'm unable to imagine any way in which the Dragon Age series was a clone of Diablo.

Does loving CoD, Battlefield, Halo, Half-Life and Crysis count?

Frankly, no. All of those games got positive reviews and lots of fans. It seems to be fashionable on these forums to bash them, but the empirical evidence suggests they are actually good games. Same applies to The Sims, World of Warcraft, Angry Birds etc.

Why should you end up in gamer hell just for liking popular games that some hipsters on the internet consider shit? Every game ever released has someone on the internet saying it was shit.

2D isn't always strictly worse than a 3D environment.
No, really. You'd be shocked at how many people insist that 3D is ALWAYS BETTER (including Sony, at one point).

While 2D gameplay is not automatically worse than 3D, I'd say that an AAA studio will always make a prettier game with 3D rendering than with sprites. Tekken is not automatically better than Street Fighter, but SF4 looks better than SSF2T HD Remix.

A 3D model will take longer to make than a sprite, but once made, it is fairly simple to animate it. Animating a sprite involves drawing it again lots of times, at which point the initial productivity advantage is flushed down the toilet, along with a great deal of space on the game disk. The same applies to viewing from different angles.

Much of the artwork in later 2D games was made by rendering 3D models for this reason. And the animations were generally about 10 frames per second while the original 3D animations would have been 60fps or however fast your refresh rate is.

I don't think that Ocarina of Time holds up today. Granted, I never finished the game (mainly because I got bored of it), however, I made it to the bit with the frozen fish guy, so I think I made it far enough to give a somewhat accurate judgement of the game. Don't get me wrong, I think it's a very important game and has had a huge, positive impact on the gaming industry, but the game itself just doesn't compare to more modern titles.

I hate games like WoW, and Runescape where people spend hours upon hours trying to level up just to get some new title, a new item, ect.
Don't get me wrong, I have nothing against level grinding on game like Pokemon but the addiction levels for WoW are insane. Also, I never did get into the Halo series or any war games like CoD and Modern Warfare and even Gears of War. Not into any of those in the least.

I think Mass Effect is extremely overrated, I can see the appeal, the characters are mostly interesting, the universe is fun, and it is a good game, but its not the one of the greatest games of the generation.

I've never finished a Zelda game, though I would like to play through one of the 2D games. I found Ocarina of Time to be remarkably dull.
