Lost kingdoms is great, but its not working at the moment, should be a few weeks.

Dont ever place more than 250 TNT in one spot and blow it up. My world has a nice little crater in the middle of everything now

I am surprised you still have a world, usually that amount will crash the game no matter what you're running on.

on more than one occasion i lost valuble resorces because some creeper decides to blow me up hundreds of feet underground miles away from my base
i lose all my weapons armor and large amounts of redstone because i forgot to follow this rule

Have fun. Even if you die lots.

Act on your impulses. If you think "Oh, it would be cool if I could build [thing]", then you damn well go and make as good an attempt as you can to do it. Your only real priority is not to stay out too late and get owned in the face by monsters, so let yourself get distracted whenever possible.

Express your creativity. That's how, in my opinion, you have fun with Minecraft.

-Don't start building far away from the spawn point
-Bring at least 5 pickaxes at all times
-Carry even more torches
-Don't carry anything you don't think you'll need
Mutliplayer:
-Laws of single-player still apply
-Don't fuck with other people's structures without consent
-Randomly bestowed gifts from the admin should be treasured (once he gave me a magma block but I didn't know what it was so I just placed on the ground somewhere ;_
