Bolder-dash! I never intended any shenanigans, whatsoever, mayhap I made some rather hasty presumptions, and/or poor choices, not thinking straight, and baked all those lovely RPGs into a gigantic heap of unsorted deliciousness.

Hahaha... I presumed the OP was specifically talking about computer RPGs, given the nature of this site. If we're including pen & paper RPGs, my list would be more like (again, in order of preference):
