Yeah for sure it does seem like racing games are where it's at for the highest nicest graphics. It's also one of those game genres that I really wish I liked because, you know, cars are cool, but I get SO BORED. I like looking at Forza clips sometimes though.One major thing is that both the current-generation XBox and PlayStation are basically cut-down multimedia PCs in weird custom cases. You're not even getting the benefit of specialized console hardware anymore.
I like nice graphics, but above everything they have to service gameplay. I have raytracing enabled in Forza Horizon 5, but in a limited fashion, so that I can keep the framerate pegged at 144Hz for buttery-smooth responsiveness. And I spend plenty of time playing things like Minecraft and modded STALKER and Doom.
In the very little coverage of PS5 Pro I subjected myself to, I believe they did sight Forza as one of the few games that immediately benefits from it now, with both the high framerate and ray tracing and all that stuff.
