It's lucky that left was specified instead of right, since all I have to my right is a weighted walking stick and a home made Hafted-blade/Scythe (a broken sword/machete blade attached to a long hoe handle) which I cobbled together to hack down some overgrown weeds in my garden, but it too unwieldy to be useful in combat.
