Here's my problem with Zero Punctuation - I really think he's forgotten why he exists. You're meant to beat to crap the bad games so the good ones shine all the brighter, not nitpick everything to death and then say "oh wait no it's pretty good I guess". It came to a peak around Red Dead Redemption where he made a quick turnaround "well-written, good-looking, fun"... I'm not saying Yahtzee shouldn't nit-pick, but it's all started to get lost in a muddle. The horrible games get as much negative attention as the good games, and his recommendations have gone from "this is great" to "meh, buy it, I guess".
It could be because there aren't actually any great games that have came out recently, and I'd buy that, but even the few titles he admits are great he has to rub all through the mud. YOU'RE ALLOWED TO BE POSITIVE. Zero Punctuation used to be 2 parts bile to one part praise... now it's just all bile, all the time, and it's really not as enjoyable anymore. It's still incredibly funny and the critique is as biting as ever, I just miss it when distinction between good and bad was more than a sentence at the end and a pat on the head.
