Actually, I think most of the posts above me are marked examples of fanboydom.

Isn't that biscuits.

I think it'd be nifty if he showed us the rest of the letters, must be ones that made more sense than that, Lordy-loo knows there was enough wrong with the SSBB to get irked with.

I thought a standard rule of any writing or review was never to insult your audience. Possibly this depends upon who the audience is.

I hate people who just blindly follow reviewers, and sorry, this includes you Ben:(

Plus, S.S.M.B. and T.O.B. are the main reviews I can fully agree with.

What amazes me is that he gets this many reactions from SSBB, but not enough from Halo 3 to justify something similar there.

I thought Halo fanboys were supposed to be the worst?

I enjoyed greatly, and I think people need to take a break if they disagree with Yahtzee. Honestly, not all of his reviews entertain me, because I disagree with him a lot. But really, it's a nice break from GameSpot, who fired their only one good reviewer for an 8.8, and a couple of others.

Seriously, how many 10's did GTA3, Vice City and San Andreas get despite being some of the buggiest pieces of shit imaginable?

This should really become an annual thing. Yahtzee taking the pick of the hate-mail he gets over the year, then gleefully shredding it into little bits.

Hmm, now to think of a cunning use of the world 'Rebuttal'...

*Falls out of chair laughing* That was brilliant! It was well worth me waiting up until 2 in the morning to watch this as soon as I could.

I may not agree with the review on SSBB, but I wholeheartedly defend his right to make it.
Not every critic is going to like everything that I like. I am glad that he tore into the bastards that don't quite get that.

Corporate apologists (those who are not paid for their services) and fanboys are the lowest forms of life on the planet. Pathetic creatures.

Regardless of whether or not I agree or disagree with Yahtzee's opinion the man knows how to be funny. Yahtzee's newest video is basically trolling though since I guarantee a whole lot of Nintendo fanboys will post whiny comments about how he points out their inability to spell for lack of a better point. I personally liked SSBB myself, but his review was based on reality and did point out some of the flaws in the game. All in all I say keep up the great work and keep the laughs coming.

I don't think there are enough superbatives to fully congratulate Yahtzee on this review. It is a review too, on how he feels about the hatemail he's received recently. I'm still laughing, complete brilliance.

Hmmm. While I'm all of the opinion that Brawl is shit design, Nintendo's fans have no reason to live, and that this was definitely coming to them, the question is, why don't we get this more often?

Sure, maybe making top notch reviews once a week takes more work than I thought, but you've been hired to do this sort of shit. The least you could so is send the fans a mail bag a bit more often than once every ridiculous game review (as in ridiculously awesome).

I love mailbags because it gives critics the chance to laugh at the viewers poor attempts at reason and grammar, and the smarter ones the chance to laugh with. (I mean hell, Firefox, Opera AND Safari come with a spell checker and you can't spell right)

Also, I loved all the (not really) subtle emphasis you put on things like "whatever console you like" (queue split second lifting of PC).

EDIT: Heh. "...or possibly a gamespot employee." Nice.

People just need to realise that Yahtzee, like Hitler, can say and think whatever he wants. And its wrong for us to criticise his opinions, and Hitler's, just because they contradict ours.

That is the whole point.

W00t! sweet anticipated video, just splendid. Yahtzee always seems to mention the minor flaws in games, that does destroy gameplay. I'm hoping to hear about GTAIV's glitches and some negative feedback. There's only praise for this game right now and i need reasons to hold off until GTA arrives on PC.
