It is amazing how ONE review, good or bad; for ONE game, played or not, using ONE man's opinion can inspire an entire world...because this is international, to make total idiots out of themselves. Whether you're arguing for or against SSBB....who cares? Wasn't this whole thing for entertainment purposes? I give a bajillion kudos to Yahtzee for managing to give himself free press just by reviewing a game he didn't want to review in the first place and still coming out on top. Why? Because EVERY single person that said something terrible....every one of those people are gonna be back today. For the new installment. To see if he belittle's GTA. I love the game and if he hates...I'm still havin a good day.

Dunno about you but i get the kick out of any Yahtzee review/video NAMELY for the way he delivers his point of view, I see it more as a stand up comedy, and i don't think he should be criticized for anything, cause you watch it for free

To be honest, I think the only reason Yahzee bothered to give posters any attention concering SSBB is to delay the process a bit while he played GTA4 or something.

You're entitled to your opinion. But, you have to accept that everyone else is as well. You don't think playing single player for half a day to unlock content is bad. Yatzee does. Ok. You don't think including Japanese characters is bad. Yatzee does. Ok. To defend anything by saying your opinion is correct simply because it is your opinion is not acceptable. To defend the game by saying that playing for half a day isn't bad, and Japanese characters are fine is not acceptable. To say "I personally don't have a problem with these things," is.

So... there's no such thing as invalid criticisms of a game, but there is such a thing as an invalid criticism of a review?

Well, it sounded to me like you were saying that we shouldn't DEFEND a game by saying that including Japanese characters was okay, but it was okay for Yahtzee to BASH the game by saying that he didn't think it was okay. You said that "defending it by saying Japanese characters are fine is not acceptable, but saying that you personally don't have a problem with it is," yet you saw nothing wrong with Yahtzee claiming that the game was shit. So, when someone likes something it's subjective, but when they don't like it suddenly there are objective things to dislike?

(oh, and what kind of complaint is "they included Japanese characters I've never heard of" anyway? What possible effect does that have on the game experience?)

Completely true, Brawl is a rehash of a game that relied solely on star power (if you can consider that for a video game character) to sell a formula that is as complex as a block of wood. I also love the bashing of Brawl's damn near if not retarded fan base fan boys. The sad thing is that these people will take any hit of common sense that penetrates their thoughts and simply mash it into something that doesn't hurt their feelings, just how emos take cutting their wrists as a good thing.
