John Q. Johnnycake Christ of planet Mars!

They should post a sign next to the link of the video: "Streaming Digital Black-out"

that was good stuff. Is this a precedent for seeing more of Yhatzee in his reviews I wonder? Hope he wears his hat next time he makes an entry into his own review...or a fez

Errrrr, so a honky killing a bunch of zombie Hatians is fine [http://www.escapistmagazine.com/articles/view/editorials/zeropunctuation/1350-Zero-Punctuation-Heavenly-Sword-and-Other-Stuff], but killing all the other races isn't?
But RE5 isn't racist.
Sure, and neither is Uncharted. I'm just wondering why he makes a point if it here. Personally, I think race in general is just stupid. Geographic ancestry? Who gives a shit?

Sorry Yahtzee, but I can´t understand most of your criticism.
Nearly everything you complained about could also be said for CoD4.

Racism? Well, Russians and Arabs. Plus, what to do, the game isn´t set in Europe, but in South-America
Quicktime-Events? Check (Dogs, grr)
Lack of Innovations? Check
Predictable Story? Check.
Super-Precise Enemys? Check.

I think you overdraw the Game´s Weaknesses, you didn´t said anything good about it.

my 2 cents.

if you keep moaning at every game with quick time events your going to end up moaning at every ga.. ah you moan at every game regardless but still just expect them all the time and never be surprised by them

And the final proof of Yahtzee's tiresome, idiotic, pointless PC brainwashing. Racism my ass.

Hey, Yahtzee, here's a question for you: how can you have the unmitigated gall to try to call out games for being predictable and repetitive when you just repeat the SAME LAME SCHTICK EVERY GODDAMN WEEK?

Yahtzee is pessimistic and rags on the games he reviews? Shock and horror!

On QTEs: I haven't played many games that use them lately, but do they all tend to kill you when you miss one? The main reason I could tolerate the ones in Berserk and Shenmue was because you were penalized for missing a button press - lose life, start a fight at a disadvantage, take the long way around, etc. - but it didn't force a reset.

Ummm....that's kind of the POINT of his reviews. The only two exceptions to this are Portal and Psychonauts. If you want praise flowing out of the ass for a game, go read one of the billion and a half 10/10 perfect score reviews given away like candy by the major game sites.

I've never played Uncharted so i can't say if it was racist or not.

All i know is that it's on a Spanish island and a group of White characters take on an evil British guy and a mix of Hispanic and Black "guns for hire".

It just seems like the British guy hired some natives on the island to work for him, doesn't really seem racist, people have been doing that for hundreds of years.

I don't think RE 5 is racist either, the game just takes place somewhere in africa where 99% people there are black, just like RE 4 and the spanish village. I dont remember a mass of hispanics protesting the game, i'm pretty sure RE 5 might get a bit of media shit-storm just because certain people/faux news like to take things out of proportion.

Y'know, I was all set to go about defending Uncharted, but then I remembered that for some reason I stopped playing it an hour or so in and it never drew me back.

So I'm not going to.

Yes, I agree, ZP is very entertaining, but for **** sake, calm down already!

"Oh Jesus H Motherloving Christ, I haven't laughed that hard in a long while"?
"John Q. Johnnycake Christ of planet Mars"?

Yes, it's funny, but nothing you should be laughing hard about, in fact, I seriously doubt that there is ANYTHING funny enough to warrant a person to laugh hard (Sure, a snicker or stiffle, maybe even a chuckle, but not laughing hard). When people scream such heavy praise about anything, the people who hear it will probably only hear the rantings of an obsessive fanboy... In fact, you all sound like the very fanboys most of you critisized back when the Halo 3 review came out. ZP is funny, but he doesn't deserve to have so many people give him the comment-equivalent of 10/10s.

I enjoy Yahtzees' reviews, and if they were to be given a score, I'd give most of them an 8 or 9, a few even a 10 (A few, I'd give a 5 or 6, nobody is perfect, that includes Yahtzee)... Most of the reviews he's made were more than enough to entertain me, and I am very thankful for it, but I'm not going to come here to post a comment saying that milk shot out of my nose or that it is the funniest thing bestowed upon mankind... Yahtzee probably doesn't appreciate blind fanboyism, either, that gives his reviews such tremendous praise that it's hardly believable to anyone of reasonable intellect, but I'll bet he appreciates it when someone says, quite simply, that they liked his review and are looking forward to the next one.

That being said, I liked this weeks review, Yahtzee, and I'm looking forward to seeing next weeks ZP. n_n

Thank you for ranting on quick time events. I hate those bloody things. They do nothing but serve to create arbitrary replay value and gnashed up teeth.

Some how didn't felt like it had alot of Yahtzee twisted black humor sarcasm in it like in previouse reviews exept IMO COD4 where Yahtzee was only angry at us flamers much more then at the actual game I guess.

When Yahtzee said, "Makes you want to beat him to death with has own hair", I very nearly choked to death on an OREO. Great review!

I guess hardly anyone read his valve trip log, we had like, two pictures of him!!! One with the "signature hat" (I guess it's a fedora...I dunno)

Also, didn't they make a game called "Ethnic Cleansing" and it had a price tag of "14.88" (numbers of hitlers regimes I believe) and all you were was a KKK member with a shotgun and you shot every stereotypical looking non-white ever? Like, mexicans had sombreros and they said "I'm gonna cut you ese" and stuff like that, and what's even more horrible, probably the most horrible thing about that game, is black guys with afros would come up, and when you killed them, they would make monkey noises, I swear this game is real, I saw it on T.V. - some Aryan girls were talking about how fun it was.
