Well, I agree to a point that WoW "serious" raiders are all about waggling their pixellated wangs about and counting up numbers, but I think a deeper issue lies in the fact that all the best boss fights exist at the higher levels. For the most part, the low-level stuff can be sped through with little effort, and then the top level fights, the raids and even high level dungeons, actually require some kind of strategy. Sometimes it can be boiled down to nothing more than "don't stand in the fire", but at least it's something. I think this is something that needs to be addressed more than anything else. I'd love to see some low level boss fights where people have to actually plan and strategize. It might help teach people a little bit about what's coming. Sadly, even with the cataclysm, they don't seem to have upgraded the old bosses that much, and this can make the dungeons fairly boring.
