Completely agreed (with Pie that is). Do you (ix and people similar to him) get off by critisising other peoples work. Come on, credit where credit is due. Yahtzee is awesome. He has a great sense of humour and is going far in life.

here is a challange for you, go load up one of his game reviews and close your eyes and just listen to it, its not all that funny, next plug your ears or turn off your speakers and just WATCH the review, again not that funny, combined they are a riot and provoke even the most stone faced people i know (and being a US Marine retired i know alot of them) to actualy laugh right out loud at some of his works.
I do agree that they'd make little sense in purely visual form, but I actually do routinely listen to the audio track only while I do other things. Certainly not on the first viewing, and the visuals definitely add to the experience, but they're solidly entertaining and funny as pure audio.

If someone is insulting then I will be insulting in return entropy3ko. It has nothing to do with you so don't run your mouth.

"Do you (ix and people similar to him) get off by critisising other peoples work."

No, his comment is borderline racism frankly, it's just the last thing people can be extremely insulting about without consequence. If that level of playgruond insult is 'his work' then he's really going down hill.

About 2007 being antisocial nerd? How is that racist. "Hey! You can't say that about 2007! 2007 was an awesome year! Leave it alone!" And if you're talking about the red hair, that's just a sterotype. The Simpons do it all the time. Go fight them about. Geeze. Why am i argueing with you? Well, I'm off to watch ZP now and ACTUALLY enjoy it for the comdey geneis that it is.

I wonder if Yahtzee reads through this flame war tappign his fingers together, working on his evil laugh at the chaos that is 100% garunted to proceed after anything he posts? I know I would.

Here's a concept that will mess with your mind.

Maybe, just maybe the deliberate shoddy censoring was part of the joke. Maybe Yahtzee knowing it had to be censored had a little fun with it. Maybe the vid was made censored since I doubt Yahtzee would want people dicking around with his vids with silly censoring. Maybe some of you are showing your complete immaturity at the lack of a couple of curse words.

Very disappointing. Was not that funny IMHO and the sensoring made it worse.

Looking forward to next week though.

PS3 over the 360? Sorry but....WRONG. Sure it is getting better but it is definately not better than the 360...sorry.

I liked the Monty Python tribute at the end.
And I didn't realise the covered in bees bit till it was mentioned on the forums. God bless Mr Izzard.

All in all it wasn't that bad. it coulda done without the bleeping. not because hearing swearwords is cool or anything like that mainly because it left nothing to the imagination. if a word is bleeped out properly in some cases you don't know what that word is so you generally fill in the blanks in your head. however in this case the bleeping was just phoned in and if it was put there to stop people being offended by certain words... well here's hoping that they were deaf or hard of hearing because it was very easy to hear the word.

But yeah. it was funny and i agree with the point about duke nukem. and there will be a lot of people who aren't reviewers (such as myself) wanting to get at em too.

I thought where Yahtzee had the PS3 standing on the 360, and the Wii in front was great. It's the PS3's rise to fame - woop. Although, I do own a 360 and play it more than a PS3.

Sure, the censoring was not that great and ruined some of the humour for me, but I'm not too bothered. Maybe for everyone who didn't like the censored parts, next time you could just not release the video because it is censored. However, I'll watch your work whether it is censored or not.

A great review that one could never find anywhere but The Escapist (or GDC in this instance). I did think it was a lot faster than his usual work too, but I guess he might of sped it up for an effect (that I missed).

(Also, a lot of posts have works mis-spelled ... but while typing there is a built in spell-checker, or there is for me. Strange.)

This one's sub-par. There is too much recycling going on, The repetition of The Entertainer started to get on my nerves and made the whole thing seem a little disjointed. I don't think I need to add anything to what everyone has already said about the censorship.

I, who have found fault in Yahtzee quite a bit of late, challenge anyone to claim (truthfully) that they didn't think that was awesome. A wonderful return to top form. I can only hope this new found vigour continues. Yahtzee, this one has done you quite proud.

P.S. Surely jerk doens't need to be censored for anyone - it is a type of flavouring for food popular in the carribean, right? (The censorship is a bit lame as many have said already). Now if you will excuse me i might finish off my jerk-ed chicken while i watch this again.

I would really like to see some direct feed from Yahtzee's stageperformance or the response from the audience. Anyway great work again, keep it up!

Though it is not worth noting Stoic doesn't mean what Yahtzee thinks Stoic means. I am not going to bother to go into the details here except to say that true Stoicism is simply accepting neccessity (i am currently writing a thesis on Stoicism so trust me on this). There is a difference between silent and Stoic, between emotionless and being in control of your emotions. But who really cares about that besides me? Go forth and read Marcus Aurelius' Meditations friends and foes alike.

I say this because technically the Bioshock guy isn't Stoic at all (and technically is called Jack and so also has a name) but rather is just a gun toting guy. So Gordon Freeman should win by default. He is a man who is in a real shitty situation completely outside his control who just accepts it and makes the best of it. That is definantely Stoic. While Jack is to some extent driven by forces outside his control he doesn't take them well at all. In fact it you take into account the endings to the game he is either too nice or too mean to ever be Stoic. But like i said who really cares about my wild ramblings?
