I genuinely can't comprehend this. And not because it's Trump, but the hero worship of politicians in general. The idea of stanning for someone who would never ever do the same for you is simply unfathomable to me.

I think most of what's needed to understand it is in the insane tweet itself.

I'd like to say no, but that is usually the direction it goes. But then all traditions will eventually be forced to retire; it was also tradition for Zwarte Piet to hit naughty children with bundled branches. I don't know if this actually happened in the past, I certainly never experienced it and I'm 40, though it was in the songs. But they even stopped having him carry it around anymore, because they felt it was a bad look for a child friendly character to walk around with something meant to hit children with. They also changed the songs to get rid of anything that might refer to physical punishment. A thing some people balked at but was quickly accepted.

Tradition doesn't HAVE to go. But their legitimacy does need to be questioned by every generation. If the tradition does not meet the moral of the generation, it should be vacated.

Dude regularly edits footage to make it seem like his far-right out of town pals are the victims when they show up to commit violence, regularly doxes people including union efforts, makes bald faced lies about "concrete milkshakes", and has generally helped terrorist groups put together kill lists while harassing prominent activists over bullshit, but I fully believe that the defense attorney stood up and threatened an entire jury in court directly in front of a judge and press based on his word alone and nobody else reported on it.

Sounds like something that would easily be proven by literally anyone else who was in the court. Like the judge who would have censured and probably removed the lawyer in question for doing that. Yeah, I keep saying this. If a devil exists, he has long understood what a powerful tool for evil the god's church can be. He'd have targeted and invested these places in priority.
