I mean the only thing that I can come up with is Symphogear GX where a girls father is burned at the stake, and she vows to commit genocide against a cruel world that took her father away. Yeah, anime is all I got for this subject.
Aria Stark from Game of Thrones did exactly this. She literally made a kill list of everyone involved in her father's murder, along with other people who slighted her or her family, and proceeded to train herself to be a mystical assassin to go kill them in the name of the god of death. So....sounds like what you are looking for. YMMV on if putting up with the rest of the show is worth it for her content.

Aside from that, I don't think you're going to have much luck in western tv/film, as "giving a woman justification to go kill people" isn't a big plot element they use for a protagonist. At most, that might be the motivation for your female killer/antagonist in a film. But usually, the story will frame the woman with the dead dad, and the lady boner for murder/vengeance as turning away from indulging said lady boner of murder. That to do so is bad, and so NOT going on said murder spree is her ultimate conclusion.

Well I mean...it's the internet? Do you really think you've got something more shocking than any random sex/porn site out there? xD Droplets in the ocean and all that.
I don't care about people I don't know! I know you! I care about you! I don't need to know what a Rubber Ducky and Week old Wedding Cake does to you!

Hmm, Eye of the Beholder is about a female serial killer being followed by an unsociable spy Ewan Mcgregor who has an imaginary little girl he talks to. I thought it was interesting, but it isn't an action film in case you had anime assassins in mind. 😉

You. Mad. Man.

Do you really think we should expose the world to what gets us randy?!
My most filthy, lascivious, abysmal and deranged sex fantasies are softcore porn at best, Cinemax material. Not brash, confident or sexually creative enough to raise any eyebrows, even in my own imagination.

I admitted I'm not turning any heads with my pervy thoughts, but maybe, just maybe, OJ's hiding some thoughts best relegated to the deepest parts of his psyche; I shant be starting that thread after all; some things are best left unshared if respect is to be maintained.

Is the female killer the main character? Or is she the UnSub that Ewan is trying to catch? I'm assuming that @Shadyside is more interested in stories where the female is the main character with the suggested motivation. Could be wrong there, but that was my impression. And in that sense, I honestly can't think of any stories ABOUT a woman like that, who isn't the antagonist.

Aight, just to be safe, I'll raise you Prevenge. A dark comedy about a pregnant woman going on a killing spree cause she thinks her baby is telling her to. It does have a proper explanation toward the end, and the main woman also happens to be the writer and director too. No pesky Ewan Mcgregor sneaking about this time! Though the humour is quite dry and a certain type of British, so it won't work for everyone.

When it come to noses, I also appreciate when more unconventional types are shown, I thought they did that with Jill in Re3 remake

Though it's not as pronounced as I had remembered. But it's a start for videogames!

Heh, actually it's my wife who is the fan. She's watched that show so many times on netflix, that me, just casually walking through the room to the kitchen for a snack or whatever, can recognize episodes. And keep in mind, my only exposure is the 10-20 seconds I'm walking past. And I can still go "oh yeah, this is that one where the guy is a trucker with bipolar and daddy issues right? Yeah I remember the thing with the truck" or whatever. xD

Though it's always easy to know who the UnSub is, the special guest star did it. Job done, case solved. *brushes off hands and leans back at his desk*

In Endgame, why didn't the Avengers just go back at the moment when Thanos had all the stones? Get his gauntlet before the snap, and then come back to give it to him. It would have saved them so much time. There was probably an explanation, but the movie bored me so much.

Time travel gimmicks always open up that "coulda-woulda-shoulda" can of worms which really isn't worth the mental gymnastics to rationalize. You can't have a satisfactory story when you introduce a device that makes literally any other possibility the obvious, unexplored choice. "Rick and Morty" has taught me nothing if not a disdain for time travel.

This is most likely a stretch, but the original Star Wars trilogy is probably a lot more subversive with the hero's journey than I initially thought. Luke didn't really defeat the empire or the emperor, it was his fathers final action that destroyed it. Luke actually refused to strike down his father and sorta counted on his help to defeat Palpatine. Isn't the hero supposed to always do the finishing blow against the bad guy to restore peace and balance?

And looking at the original 6 movies in chronological order, kinda makes Luke a plot device for Anakins redemption. Episode 1-3 is Anakins downfall, while episode 4-6 is his son helping his redemption.

Yes the OT did subvert the hero's journey quite a bit with Luke, while also sticking to it pretty religiously. The thing that he was "meant" to do, was kill Vader, and then the Emperor. This is said by both Yoda and Ben, and whenever Luke rebels against the idea of killing his own father, they both sigh heavily and are like "then the bad guys will win. you were our last hope at defeating them." Both Jedi frame victory in killing the enemy, and specifically Luke doing it. How they thought he would pull it off with no actual training, going up against a seasoned war veteran, with decades of combat experience, and a fucking evil wizard, I don't know, but hey that was the plan!

But yes, Luke subverts it, by taking the No Kill Ending. He'd made enough Paragon choices during his run, and passed enough conversation checks with Vader that their conflicted feelings ended up winning the day, and he didn't have to kill them. He just had to survive the final fight long enough to let the resolution happen.

Why are Japanese trailers so distinctly... Japanese? Kinda hard to explain, but they always seem to follow the same structure and style. Usually just random clips put together with occasional title cards that sound awkward. Bonus points for music just playing in the background, not synced to what's happening in the trailer.

I'm sure there are exceptions, but most times when I watch a trailer for a Japanese game or an anime, that's what I expect. I mean my only real point of comparison is Hollywood movies, but yeah it feels that they don't put as much effort into their trailers. Not necessarily a bad thing either.

With it being 2020, we are still not even close to the future that was predicted in TMNT: Turtles in Time back in 1991/92. I am not mad or sad, but is funny looking at outrageous predictions on what the future would look like. None of us were expecting a pandemic though.

Here's a funky remix for the hell of it.

I know they usually do this to keep audience in suspense, to build hype, or have them constatnyl guess what the plot or characters are about before the reveal of more. This is not always the case, but it usually is about 90-95% of the time. It works and other times it does not.

I read in the news the other day that India is having a remake of Forest Gump (with the actor who looks like Tobey Maguire and Tom Hank's secret love child). At first I thought that was crazy and ridiculous, but then Hollywood does that literally all the time, so fair enough. Wonder if they'll make it a musical.

It's been a long time since I considered McDonald's to be food, but I wouldn't mind if they sold their BBQ and Sweet and Sour sauce in the stores for the chicken I actually still eat.
