What’s so unusual about the creator of a game going out to drum up support among its fan base to give it a chance at winning the vote on a people’s choice award system? It would be way weirder if he didn’t do this.

On the other, why did he delete the tweet then?

Either it was drawing controversy, so he deleted it because of the backlash, or he deleted it out of guilt, maybe both.
If he was in the right wouldn't you expect him to stick by his principles and weather the storm?

A lot of it is about the more zealous defenders of the game who can't take it being criticised so everyone who does they try to frame as being homophobic or hating strong women not people pointing out the poor quality of the writing or issue with elements of the world.

And the other side is saying that about the critics in reserve. And for the record not every critic of TLOU2 has been very wholesome about it.

It all gets conflated unless it's the approved parties saying it in the end. Doesn't matter it was actually people who had been looking forward to TLOU2 and hyping it up who ultimately sent the threats to certain voice actors. No it was the Gamers sceptical about the game from the offset who were framed as responsible.

39 hours for main story is a pretty good length for an RPG. Plus however much content is provided by the side content. Seems fine, I dunno why this would upset people.

I'm fine with 40 hours. That the aproximate length of a Final Fantasy game(at least the old ones not sure about the new ones).

Question is how much of that is good and how much is filler? That's a lot higher on my list of concerns then length.

MGSV and RDR2 are both long ass games. However, I had a hell of a lot more fun and immersion with RDR2 then MGSV so I didn't notice the length nearly as much.
