Microsoft already has a system with upgradable hardware like the PC. It's called the PC. What the fuck is the point of an upgradable console?
They just want to be able to be the ones selling the hardware. You add hardware upgrades to an Xbox, and it turns into a locked PC with no control...
God. This sums up RPG storytelling in general. As Mozart once said "brevity is the essence of wit," yet they all blather and blather for twenty minutes trying to wax philosophical when they could just spit it out in a well written manner in two.
I don't see the voiced character as much of a problem. Sure, I would have loved 4 ways of saying yes to a quest, but this is Bethesda we're talking about here. Fallout 3 has some of the worst writing I've ever seen in a game. They just don't have the chops, or at least the inclination to make a...
Feel free to get mad about the horrible shittiness of the release, and the hilariously long wait for them to fix the broken bullshit. If you complain about free stuff however, you're petty and selfish. They owe you a working game, not a Christmas present.
Saying the default name for environmental deaths makes something "in the game" is a bit of a stretch. Besides, "killed by the Guardians" was started by Bungie... the guys who also made Destiny. It just seems like too much of a coincidence that the people who created the series went on to make a...
Wait, seriously? They subtitled it Guardians? Why not call it Halo 5: Guardians of Destiny?
Also, lamp-shading the fact that pre-orders are evil doesn't make promoting it OK.
Thank god fpiw is here to save us poor frail men-folk. Stick it to the WOman!
OT: I got this game for free after buying a graphics card, and I'm interesting to see what the game plays like after these years. I only played the first half of the first game, fell asleep, then played the intro to...
I am all for modders getting paid for their work. Some mods are really good, and most take a lot of god damn time.
That said, I don't imagine it will be pretty when we start seeing authors try to unravel mod dependencies to try and sue each other over someone's armor mod which was recoloured...
As others have said.... whyyyyyyy?
If you have a program for churning out cyborgs that come remotely close to rivaling Darth Vader, why not just use them as well?
I thought Palpatine was supposed to be Lawful Evil, hence the whole "empire" thing he's got going. Why throw away an extremely...
People constantly say that we guide the market, and that we should stand up for the things we want to see instead of posturing like the Call Of Duty dedicated server boycott that didn't work.
Well we just did. The market was unwilling to accept the system that Valve set up, and Valve was...
I really like the concept for this as long as the writing continues to be as entertaining as the actual Duke session. Looking forward to see where this goes.
I agree with the idea of an unstoppable enemy that you can manage to destroy hundreds of being lacklustre. It is a problem with a lot of space sims which constantly tell you that your side is getting wrecked, but you seem to mangle everything that comes your way. Starlancer also had this...
Regardless of who takes what portion of the price, Valve set up a system when they take 75% of the total. Maybe you want to blame Bethesda, but that does not let Valve of the hook for fleecing their clients, which is what modders become when they sell products through Steam.
