I was reading "The Half Made World," a science fiction novel by Felix Gilman, until I reached chapter 39 and discovered that after the first page of the chapter, I was missing the next five chapters.

Psychonauts or the original Bioshock. Both games have deep stories that require the player to actually think about what is really going on. The way both stories mess with the mind, in different ways, leaves the player having to question everything they have experienced throughout the story.

Not to stray off topic but I actually thought that the Force Unleashed games were horrendous.

That sounds quite awesome. My idea was more of a Monkey Island, meets Fable, meets Trine based around Rincewind and some of his companions. I would also hesitantly agree with the Darth Bane idea though I certainly fear what Lucas would do with it.

A game set in the Discworld universe by Terry Pratchett or the Xanth universe by Piers Anthony would be awesome in my opinion. Both are quite expansive worlds with plenty of opportunities for interesting gameplay. The satirical nature of either series would lend it's self well to a Fable like game.
