If they put in dedicated severs I will give it a go depending on what the community says about it. Although I thought Treyarch were much worse on balance issue than IW as they ruined bolt actions and turned spray guns into snipers.

this made me lol XD

i hope Treyarch pull it off, MW2 is getting far from fun, i mean MW2 is the same as a jam and Marmite sandwich, first you taste the jam and its like sex, then you get to the Marmite and throw it back up...

and i hope because of the title it's got stealthy bits...good stealthy bits...

So if they succeed (that is sell a shit-ton), Actvision can do to it what they did to IW and effectively and completely give a "burn the corpse and eat the ashes" end to the Call of Duty franchise.

And you can't forget the huuuuuuugeeee stealth bit in Modern Warfare (The proper one :3). Sadly though I've decided to stop buying CoD games, I think the series has gone past it's sell buy date... :\ Maybe if the reviews for this one are good I'll bite, but I'm not going to rush out and buy it.
Remember the reviews for MW2 were "O-M-G A GIFT FROM THE GODZ!" So you'll probably have to take what you hear very lightly, unless its from a friend or something.

Wait wasn't The MW Cods about Black ops? I mean i know they about SAS but still they just the same thing.
Half of each MW's was black ops-ish, yeah.
The other halves were "Americans invading unnamed middle eastern country"(Notiraqistan,MW1) and "ZOMG Russian Invasion"(MW2).

But in all fairness, that sort of "small team with an objective to do" is the staple of all FPS games.
But they were the best part of both MW2 and 1...

Which is why I'm interested in seeing how a fullblown squadbased game set in the CoD universe will work...

It'll blow. Remember Call of Duty 3? That game sucked big time compared to Call of Duty 2 at the time, and it sucks even more compared to WaW and the MW games. Oh dear. I wonder how they will tackle the online issue, since so many PC users whined about IW.Net

Could this be? Finally, another Call of Duty game that I'm actually interested in? I'm skeptical, but let's see how this plays out.

And besides, why would people be mad that it wasn't made by Infinity Ward? I mean, everyone knows that the best Call of Duty game [http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Call_of_Duty:_United_Offensive] was made by Gray Matter Interactive (a.k.a. Treyarch). There's probably no better for Treyarch to become the hero... making a kick-ass CoD game after all these shenanigans would be it. I hope they succeed.
You're setting yourself up for a big disappointment then. Treyarch has never even come close to being up to snuff with Infinity Ward.
You would call Modern Warfare 2 a good game? That "thing" is a hot mess, and a awful way to go out before the studios inevitable destruction.

Funny. I can't seem to find anything in my post which implies that CoDMW2 was good. In fact, I can't seem to find myself referencing any specific games at all. Regardless of what you feel for MW2, the story of which is a disjointed mess, Treyarch has never created anything that comes close. With the possible exception of that WW2 CoD in which you were a Soviet hero working with the most badass officer in the business who went on about you being invulnerable and shit, although I can't bring myself to remember who made it.

And that they can successfully implement the stealth aspects into multiplayer.

Well you make an argument, with no argument.
They have never come close to what? Sales? That's all IW has over them, is sales. And sales mean shit in terms of quality. MW2 proves that.

GRAW comes to mind. Then again, this is a bit more war like. I expect great things from this.

Well that's one opinion.
I personally think that WaW is better than both CoD and MW2. The only thing that IW have done better than them is the original CoD.

Rather explain why you differ from our opinions than be pretentious and reported.
What are you, five? You reported him for that? Grow up mate, people are allowed to disagree with you, and they can express it any way they want. That didn't even insult you man, come on. What's to explain anyway? He clearly didn't like them. Do you want an essay? You are a thousand times more pretentious than he, friend.

OT: Well, we've got a name. Awesome. How about some solid details? It could just be a straight rip of tht PS game "Black" which I played like once at a mate's place. Who knows, we need to wait for some juicy goss.

EDIT: Trailer is up. Doesn't look stealthy.
http://www.escapistmagazine.com/forums/read/9.192046-CALL-OF-DUTY-BLACK-OPS-TRAILER-UP
And you are?
I didn't report him because he disagreed with me, I did it because he did it in such a stupid way.
There's a difference between saying "I disagree with you, CoD4 was more streamlined which is why I liked it better" and saying "You are an idiot for having an opinion which is different to mine". Sure he didn't use those exact words, but it was basically what he said.
Oh, and may I direct you to the forum guidelines, which say
Short/Low Content Posts: We're all about the discussion here on the Escapist, which is why single word posts and other low content nonsense do not help. If you agree with someone's point of view, tell us why. Short posts that aren't exceptionally clever or do not add any content to the discussion will earn a warning. Repeated offenses will earn probations.
I think you'll agree that "*suicides*" is a low content post.

Oh stop arguing bloody semantics. Quality was implied was quite clearly implied. All IW games have superior gameplay, level design, graphics, voice acting and animation compared to anything Treyarch has ever done.

What, exactly, has Treyarch ever done better than IW? Because I can hardly think of single thing.

Seeing as WaW is where you're in the middle of a freaking war, the battles feel a lot more epic than the smaller squads in CoD4 and MW2.
