hehe Thank you Anon for that, but it seems it didn't such the radical up. While I agree with what Anon want's to do I don't like how they're doing it but that, that was epic.

"Do not think that I have come to abolish the law or the prophets. I have come not to abolish but to fulfill. Amen, I say to you, until heaven and earth pass away, not the smallest part or the smallest part of a letter will pass from the law, until all things have taken place."
(Matthew 5:17 NAB)

So Jesus quite clearly states that not only is the law not changed, but that it will be binding until the end of time.

On a side note, I understand your desire to avoid taking God's name in vain, but I don't think you are fooling him by simply replacing the "o" with a "-".
True, but in Luke and John Jesus does tend to say and do things that conflict with the old testament more so than in Matthew. Matthew tends to be the most "Jewish" of the gospels, and the only one where Jesus states he has not come to abolish the law.

To be fair, I think the ten commandments are good and binding, but only one of the gospels verbally claims to agree with me.

I don't know about that. If I made up a sign that said "I HATE FAGS" and started hanging around funerals, how long would it be before someone beat me up? The fact that WBC members appear to still have their noses unbroken tells me that the God angle is a major weapon in their crusade to troll the real world.

You see, the problem with free speech is you can't pick and choose. You have to let the assholes speak because if you have a kill switch, then they'll just redirect their efforts into taking the kill switch and then using it on you.

The reason they don't have any broken bones is that they wait for someone to actually do that then have there lawyers waiting with a lawsuit.Honestly if any of those people showed up at a funereal of a family member of mine the would be a fight and they would leave there bloody and bruised.Lawyers and lawsuits be damned. I'm not a religious person but if there is a God everyone from that church will be burning in hell.

Quoted for Truth
She's a real moron and it should be on the record that the WBC do not represent all Christians and that we're all not redneck testosterone filled high horse my way or the highway lunatics.

Edit: Also my thoughts on how the Anon rep handled their side of the debate:

Well done. Well... done!!

As well as it seemed that the supposed Anonymous representative did (he was very mature and did his best not to interrupt), the ignorance, hate, and sheer zealotry of these people cannot be so easily defeated. You have to keep in mind that they have intentionally gotten themselves attacked so they can sue people to fund their efforts. They aren't worried about getting killed, because they think they'll become martyrs.

They are one of the most dangerous types of zealots out there, and the fact that they haven't started Bombing For God is pure damn luck.

But the fact remains that he did say that they where binding.

As for him going against the laws of the Old Testament sometimes, he also supports what many would consider some of the most barbaric of the OT laws such as slavery and the killing of disobedient children.
"Whoever curses father or mother shall die"
(Mark 7:10 NAB)

"Slaves, be obedient to those who are your masters according to the flesh, with fear and trembling, in the sincerity of your heart, as to Christ;"
(Ephesians 6:5)

Of course none of this really surprises me at all given how self contradictory the entire book is.

Anyway, I don't want this to turn into a massive deconstruction of the Bible. My entire point was that people saying the the people from the WBC are any less "Christian" than anyone else are wrong. They simply pick and choose different parts of the Bible to focus on, as does just about every Christian.

My entire Christian, politically conservative, family is thrilled with WBC being ripped apart.
This feels like rooting for the terrible Soviet Union against the absolutely horrible Nazi army, but hey, I'll enjoy the show.
Go on anon

Once again a group does something that you applaud except if they were to do it to you then you wouldn't applaud.

Sorry about this, I know you don't want to turn this into a deconstruction but I feel slightly compelled to respond. I'm pretty sure the first one means "die" as in going to hell, as it breaks the 10 commandments, a lot of time in the new testament it means die as go to hell. As for the 2nd one that is just like the part where he says "if a roman asks you to carry his thing for so or so miles (can't remember exact number) do it for double instead" he is not voicing support of their deeds just giving alternatives to violence and hate.

As for the WBC somebody please let them be burnt alive, I'm Christian too and they are just helping the negative stereotypes of us being ignorant retards who attack anyone who isn't Christian. Throughout the interview I felt like beating the shit out of the woman everything she said genuinely pissed me off. "Over 9000 sins" <-- LOOOL, the ***** got trolled by anonymous, she tried to look smart with her whole "oh you keep track"

It pisses me off to see Christians twisting the original message of love and tolerance into their hate filled bile that they spew on everyone walking past.

You are completely correct, Sir. I would be most upset if Anonymous attacked me for not attempting to use them for the benefit of my own hateful and bigoted agenda.

OT: Bravo! BRAVO!!

Exactly, I agree with you. God wouldn't do such a thing. He even encourages us to love our enemies in the bible and to treat each other right, but rather then speak out with my religion (because I respect everyone and know it's not a place to speak my religion anyhow), I will just say that they alter the word of God, in every wrong way period. Some people make me wonder how in the World can they do such acts without realizing how awful it is.. *sigh*
I'd like to start by saying that this is exactly right, and end by quoting a line from Extra Credits that WBC should really take to heart:

"Do Not Tangle With The Kinds Of People Who Install Linux On Their Playstations".

Although, knowing Anon, they're prolly installing Linux on their wristwatches nowadays.

Actually I think part of their work is going to funerals, enraging family members that are there to the point they start swinging (fists that is) and when they have been hit, they sue said person (I have no confirmation on this but it could be they are doing this)
Also, Anon was trying to be mature about this up until the point she was acting like a twelve year old, not suprising he got fed up with her bullshit
