Wow... that certainly was... Heck, i don't know what that was, but i certainly didn't give any boost to the WBC's popularity. Seeing such religious extremists go on and on about how they're right and everyone else is wrong just makes me sick and it's good to see someone make a stand against such people.

What really made me fall of my chair due to the sheer amount of stupid that hit my head was when i heard that the WBC thinks that "God created the internet for the WBC to spread their message"...

Oh and i'll add this just to show what i thought when it got memetastic

"In my life, I have committed over 9000 sins."

I like how even David Pakman giggles at that comment. =P

That's the problem with the WBC though; you really can't shut them up by any legal means. They will not stop spewing their obscene bullshit, and, while they are incredibly loud, and even more ignorant, the one thing they understand is that they are allowed to spew this shit. Kudos to anonymous for (hopefully) making them think about the direct consequences of their actions (however unlikely that may be). Their representative was very patient with her: I am really impressed.
Beeing mature is the best angle to work the WBC representant. since it will make anon look more mature than them. Saying someone is a lowlife thug over and over does not really make you look mature. Also dropping memes which are more like in jokes which not everyone exposed to the media is avera of is a good way of getting some lulz out of situations such as this, especially when your beeing mature while doing so.

btw i would never ever trust anyone that smiles like that for so long. o.o'

can't even watch the video where I am, but simply reading the text had me damn near lolling (which would be as troublesome) instead.

ah those crazy internets kids... westboro really don't help themselves though. absolute bunch of asshats. pretty sure the right to free speech comes with a responsibility to use it appropriately rather than just spewing hateful crap.

on that subject, ITV's "Tonight" program had a damn near Faux News style "INTERNET HACKING!!!!1" episode last night and it was truly terrible ... the anon attacks on HBGary because of the Wikileaks issue were mentioned, but they didn't even go so far as even to find out what anyone of the names of the "hacker group" (nb: not "cracker"?) or "internet security company" were (or omitted them on purpose so you couldn't google it up and see how poor their reporting was?), nor was there any mention of the purpose (beyond the Wikileaks takedown, probably because it's one name their target audience would actually recognise from tabloid headlines) or the outcome of it, i.e. revealing of general corruption and misdeeds at HBG, to whit, "how can we massively and permanently screw these guys over for making us look bad?".

Why is that Baptist woman smiling so much? Felt like that Colgate smile would break the webcam.
And go Anonymous, thank you for at least shutting down the largest troll organisation in America.

I couldn't finish watching this, just too stupid and it almost cost me several thousands of braincells.

Wow, it's rare that you see these two breds of internet trolls combined in one video.
Hah I was thinking the exact same thing. I hope this Anonymous thing dies out as quickly as the whole WikiLeaks crap.

He was much more mature than she was. He did not talk over her but the times she interrupted him mid speech. In any event just because Anonymous advocates free speech doesn't mean they will stand by while you harm them.

I may advocate the destruction of bobby kotick but of someone on that same team harms me i will harm them. What i believe in means nothing when someone that believes the same goes after me. Same for Anon and WBC. Anon supports free speech. WBC abuses free speech. When WBC kept going after them Anon struck them for their behavior. It is not about who supports what right now its about who threatened who. With WBC threatening Anonymous all bets were off.
Talking over someone is a small point - sometimes you're better to do it. I didn't see where she threatened anybody, and I wouldn't say being critical of Anonymous is grounds for limiting free speech.
Criticising Anonymous isn't grounds for limiting their free speech- spouting the kind of shit that Hitler would be proud of is.
So Anonymous should take it upon itself to stop WBC humiliating themselves? What a terrible idea. I say it's still covered in free speech since they aren't making any threats, and they as far as I've seen they don't condone violence toward soldiers, homosexuals, ect.
I'm pretty sure revelling in the deaths of soldiers in the Middle East and calling for more, counts as condoning violence against them. Anyway, no matter what is written as law, it has to be restrained by common sense. Its like teenagers in the US being able to go on destructive shooting sprees in your schools because the law says they have a right to own a gun, regardless of whether its a precise sports weapon, or an LMG designed to kill and maim as many people in as short a time as possible. Then there's the laws which allow a burglar to sue you if he cuts himself on a window while breaking into your house, because the law says you have to make your property a safe place, regardless of who is in it or what they're doing to it.
WBC have a right to speak their mind, but does the law really say they can go out and deliberately harass grieving families with mindless bigotry, propaganda and hate?

The words "stupid, retarded, fucked up shit-eating fucked up religious *****" comes to mind when you hear Shirley speak.
Really, I am an atheist that actually LIKES Religion, but it is pretty hard with that "stupid, retarded, fucked up shit-eating fucked up religious *****" mouth running around.

I mean, that's impressive and all, but it wasn't her point. Her point was that the Church had already gotten the publicity. I suspect the Westboro Baptist Church is some kind of ad revenue scam; they don't care if you can hack their website or not, so long as people are hearing about it on the radio.

The spokespeople for Anonymous really needs to get control of their desire to showboat if they're going to be taken seriously.

These religious fanatics, acting like God it their personal weapon, always on their side really freak me out. I mean look at her; pompously maintaining that creepy smile while spouting such nonsense, promising divine retribution, constantly interrupting and disrespecting other side, that's not a way to have a civilized discussion. Sometimes it seems that these "churches" are still stuck in medieval times.
