Female Assassin: Yes
World War II: NOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO!

That would take away half the charm of Assassin's Creed. There are millions of settings to explore all over the world all over the time. It doesn't matter from which angle you do WWII, it's still done to death.

The French revolution would be awesome if you ask me ^^
I agree wholeheartedly with you!

I would rather see Assassins Creed XXV - The 7/11 Conspiracy, than a WW2 setting.
Also, if any series could manage 35 games, it would be Assassins Creed:)

A female assassin would be great! Or at least the option to play as one. But WW2 is such a dull setting. C'mon, Ubisoft...you can do better!

There's no place for assassins in WW2. They'd just get mowed down by tanks and machineguns, or shut down by mustard gas. Though it would be wicked fun to have the protagonist flipping over barbed wire....

the time period should be WWZ
or maybe Spanish colonization of America
something that hasn't been done hundreds of times seriously people need to stop making ww2 games

I suppose it could be good. Your character would be a Jew who's family was killed by the naughty Nazis, then you are taken in by an assassin group who train you as you grow up to become an assassin. That sounds alot like Assassins Creed 2 but what else is there?

Just keep the feel and climbing of Assassins Creed, keep the hidden blade, let us run around Berlin and use stealth to kill guards on rooftops and avoid spotlights, and let us blend in with the crowds to avoid patrols and such. Let us take disguises of German soldiers and maybe give us the option to seduce the guards or assassination targets. Chase sequences and the consequences for being caught would be much more intense when you're being sniped and shot at.

I just hope we wouldn't get to use guns, there'd have to be a good reason for not using them too, or just give us a silenced pistol with a small amount of bullets in each mission, that is used like the throwing knifes in Assassins Creed 1.

Sounds pretty good huh?
Sounds like Velvet Assassin ;p

OT: I like AC beacuse it avoids a lot of the big tropes. When i found out about ACII set in Renaissance Italy, my immediate thought was, 'Oh my god. That is the most brilliant idea ever. And i didn't even see it coming."

The WWII idea doesn't seem quite as original or as fun. But what if you were playing for the Axis in Britain. It would make a lot of sense, wouldn't it? Even for having a female assassin. You could always turn on the axis at the end of the game if they really wanted to make it 'politically correct', i suppose...
still not sold on WWII though.

I also eagerly await Assassin's Creed XXXV. /sarcasm.

There is no reason to be in a rush to get to the 20th Century. Got lots of material to work with between the Crusades and the end of the Industrial Revolution (which World War I was the epilogue.) I am hoping if they do go down the line they don't forget the Thirty Years' War, where Prussia was the testbed for a hostile military arms race. Imagine dealing with foes with much the same weapons as you.

I got the impression that while the time period would be around WWII, it would be somewhere else instead of Europe. A lot of women got into working around that time and it would make sense that there would be a female Assassin. Setting it in America seems to be the best idea.

However, I would like to see other time periods as well besides WWII. The Industrial Revolution sounds like a neat idea, and it fits better with the idea of "Assassin's Creed" (AC). AC being set in a war-period is...I dunno, it just kinds of defeats the idea of what AC is. I always got the impression that AC was meant to work around political war or conspiracies--similar to what "Deus Ex" and (arguably) what "Metal Gear Solid" (MGS) tries when it tries to make bloody sense. MGS and AC share some of that political war-games/conspiracies, yet MGS tends to get to hyped up on the 'war' aspect too much that the political/conspiracy aspect feels like it's shoveled into a corner and mixed with such confusing logic that is hard for anyone to understand.

The strange thing is, the way these games are goin ie: making them as pretty as possible, setting it during World War II would take away that aspect // Hell they could just take the environments from the latest Medal of Honor game and just use them, but Im not sure how the plot would work? But the idea of a female main character would be pretty cool as long as they play with the feminine aspects when it comes to killin (yes Im talkin about using sex to kill) and as long as they Don't go along the lines of WoW's female versions of male armor when it comes to her clothing

Also can you stop calling it AssCreed, its kind of disturbing

I like how everyone's ignoring that they said it would take place in England.

She wouldn't be storming Normandy, kids. If the Assassin was in England, she'd most likely be performing political killings while... dodging bombs.

That's... incredibly sexist. Feminine aspects = sex?

With Altair's style of killing, there's no need to use sex. There's no need to even reveal yourself. The only time he ever talked to his targets was when they were dying.

Just because it has boobs doesn't mean it needs to be a floozy.

YES! YES! YES!

Oh god I hope they do thirty-five of these games.

As for it being set in WW2, meh, as long as they do one with Miles as the player character eventually, I'll be happy.

What is with all these people trying to put games set in the past (or a memory of the past in assassin's creed's case anyway) and then moving up through the time line and hitting semi modern ages? It would be awful.
