right, remember back in the 90's where there was that gamer drug war in quebec? at least 1,000 innocent bystanders were killed?Armored Prayer said:Gamers are more threatening than biker gangs?
*slowly tilts head* Really?
i dont know... i think feeling morally threatened from reading nintendo power is quite common.Kalezian said:so.......wait, wait wait wait...........
are you suggesting.........Gamers on steroids?
now I have seen everything..............
okay, lets see who is more dangerous:
a gamer:
a Biker:
does..............does this guy even think, let alone listen, to himself at ALL?
yay for beating him at his own argumentsCiran said:Actually not particularly. Because you are a passive viewer, and you are relaxed while watching it, it has a much higher chance of getting into your subconscious, which has a lot more impact on your choices made in a stressful situation or when you're angry or excited. Videogames go into the conscious part of your brain, and decision making and judgement is put into effect before the memory is stored.Hardcore_gamer said:While he is indeed a asshole, he does have a point there.Greg Tito said:"With interactive games, people are actually doing things," Atkinson said. "One can go to the cinema and see someone beheaded, and one sees it as a passive viewer.
Not only that, but pushing on a joystick and pressing a button does not, in any way, give you any training or practice into decapitating anyone, or any of the other violent things done in games. I would honestly have to say that Duck Hunt is more dangerous than a lot of games nowadays because of the simulation gun used for it and the fact that your shooting ducks means that the risk is low.
Knowing Atkinson even if that were to happen he would figure out some crazy way to blame gamers for it happening, like gamers paid biker gangs to start harassing him or some stupid bull shit.Low Key said:I wonder if biker gangs will take that as a challenge and start harassing him more. It would certainly take the heat off of gamers in Australia for a little bit.
i know people who troll and have no souls or morals is that a good substitute for 4chanKalezian said:SextusMaximus said:I'm proposing a serious measure but...
Would 4chan come in use here? We can use them for good!
well, not 4chan directly, but anon has operation freeweb going right now to bring awareness to how stupid the internet filter is.
but face it, gamers are the basic prey for any green anon, what makes you think they would help out such an easy target?
