It just appears to be the filmographic version of a Tech Demo
The story is so-so, the characters are clichéd
I'm not saying I don't like it, or that It's gonna be bad, I just see it as a hasty excuse to show off awesome technology
Completley unintrested, but will see it because it's a good film, but not because I think it's anything memorable beyond "oooh...pweedy!"

I'm not but I have a good reason why... I'm watching it in 3D on Saturday and I've purposely avoided avoided every thing to do with the movie... including trailers or even just news, I haven't read on other post here except the are you psyched part.
Reason: I often look way too much into movies and it often ruins it for me, so as a little experiment I though I'd go into a big screen movie knowing as little as possible about the film. See when I buy movies on DVD that I was never really into when it was at the cinema I find that I enjoy them more because I don't know what to expect. So the theory here is I may enjoy the movie more if I go into it having no idea what it's about or what's going to happen. I'm not psyched so even if the movie is bad I'm not disappointed and I also miss all the hype.

To be honest, I can't really see how this will revolutionise cinema, as some reviewers/publications are calling it. It looks OK but not mind-bogglingly excellent.
I have low expectations, it takes more than shiny graphics to win me over.

I'm going to see it in less than 2 days but I'm not sure wheter to be hyped or not. I am still trying (and failing) to bludgeon the many Twighlight fans I know. Maybe the movie will suck me in when I watch it.

I've heard the "Dances with Wolves" theory as well, which baffles me in a way, as such as I don't see the point in bringing that up. I can see where they are coming from with it - character X is sent in to "infiltrate", shall we say, a particular group, be they native Americans or blue skinned aliens. and instead of being against them ends up sympathising with their cause. And yes, there are going to be people who bash the film for some of the more questionable hippie-style sentiments in the film, but then, I could hardly blame them for that.
By that same token, we may as well just refer to The Last Samurai as "Dances with Wolves in Japan" or "Dances with Wolves with Samurai"...
Also, in relation to jojoemon's post: ecopunk - let's seriously hope nobody actually decides to go there.
I think it looks good. Even if it should be full of clichés, well, you could always say that of James Cameron. You can make a classic with clichés, if everything is in the right spirit, well-structured and so on.
After seeing Roger Ebert's review of it, I'm pumped to see it.

I'm looking forward to it. I heard that it was pretty good and if nothing else it should be fun to watch, right? Also, there is no way it could be as good as T2. Absolutely not. Terminator 2 was Cameron's best movie and it will always be that way.
I'll watch it but I think I'm still gonna be wondering why they where fighting in the first place. For the native peoples, its your planet, do you not have anywhere else to go? For the humans, ITS A PLANET, you dont need to take the whole thing to build your giant robots of mass destruction (like you did with earth apparently).
