I'll take any of the standard Michael Bay tropes in exchange for a live-action Turtles movie. We're long overdue for one, anyway.

i dunno, shes kinda hot, and she has a lot of $, so i would bang her
I don't agree with that. I just don't find her attractive, plus I like a woman with an actual brain.

I think this link is completely 100% appropriate under the circumstances.

Screw you Michael Bay. I don't need anyone damaging my childhood memories more than they already have been. Leave TMNT alone, damnit!

EDIT: This works too.

This also works.

For the above video, please note:

Gandalf = Production rights to TMNT
Balrog = Michael Bay
Fellowship = TMNT Fanbase
Frodo = The most diehard TMNT fans
Can't say it any better. But Gandalf beats the Balrog... oh well. Still works.

Oh hell, I beat April is going to be very busty. Can't wait till Moviebob reviews this

For one thing, I don't think this is set in stone, it's not necessarily certain that Michael Bay will do it. Why do I say that? Partially cause it just sounds like some kind of rumor to send fans into a panic, but also because TMNT just doesn't sound like something Michael would be interested in. And if you say "I thought the same about Transformers" then you're out to lunch because Michael very much likes working with cars and what-not, so making Transformers was fun for him. Unless he's always been a huge fan of the TMNT, I just can't see him making this movie. I'll have to believe it when I witness the trailer posted on apple.com and his name comes up in the credits.

I don't know, I've only ever seen her in the Transformers movies, and there she's little more than a stage prop, spouting awful dialog and looking pretty. Maybe in a decent movie, with a decent director and a decent script she might do better... or maybe not. Who knows?

Why are you all saying this will be the worst thing ever

Bay makes action films. He makes good ACTION films. If you want a film with story and plot go somewhere else but i'm getting tired of everyone who thinks its alright to hate on anything bay does. He's good at what he does. If you don't like it don't pay to see it.

Pretty much

You don't HAVE to watch it.
Why should a movie be just about action? Bay could hire any number of good writers to make a great story and still have great action within the film. the biggest thing that I have against Transformers and Transformers: Revenge Of The Fallen is the whole humans being the main characters.

If the movie title has the word Transformers in it you would think it should be about the Transformers and not some teenager wanting to date a girl.

Well..... it will be a mix between Bayformers and the live action TMNT TV show, yes the power ranger one done in the style of the last cartoon series(the darker one).

If he goes with shedder and his clan of android foot...it could be awesome...if not.......oh god........

Aww, this is awesome ^~^! The Ninja Turtles are going back to their roots >~<! I am seriously excited to hear this news ^~^! The fact that they are gonna do it old school without all the computer animation, is just icing on the cake. I remember the first video when I was a kid, man that was like the most memorable moment ever! The second movie not so much, and the third I never saw (and from what I understand , this is a good thing), but I will always remember the first movie. I hope Michael Bay does really good with this! I liked what he did with the Transformers, as it did make sense to what I remembered from the 80's (well as far as personality with the transformers is concerned). I know that there will be a few people who don't like the rehashing of sacred childhood memories, but if this can help breath life back into what was one of the best franchises in the 80's then I am all for it.

Great, now he'll have fucked up the two biggest things in my childhood!

This man was created to destroy peoples much loved characters they've known for years, decades even.
so he's the embodiment of "Rule 34" in Human form???
I would argue that rule 34 just makes your childhood more palatable for your perverse mind later in life (assuming you have a perverse mind). Not really destroying it just giving you an outlet for when you were going through puberty and were feeling oddly attracted to some of the characters.

Michael Bay on the other hand is like watching your favorite characters being violated right before your eyes.

That's right people Michael Bay is worse for your childhood then Rule 34.

Breathe new life into something that had a recent series and movie?

Also, you liked what he did to the Transformers? Giving them less screen time then they should have seeing as how the films are supposed to be about them. Making dogs hump onscreen and have a Transformer do it and to top it off, having Devastator appear just to make a testicle joke. He destroyed Cybertron so it can't ever be used, can't even follow his own continuity with several issues and gets some basic geography wrong as well.

Yeah, it really was just like the series /sarcasm.

Huh. Bay and Joss Whedon went to the same school. I suspect one of them was given the power to create, and the other to reinvision and destroy as part of some unholy pact. Bay, continuing his side of the deal, has found yet another franchise to reduce to ash. Though admittedly the second Transformers movie was hysterical...except when it was trying to be.
