It's good that he at least seems to recognize some of the problems here.

Wait a minute...Bay owns up for messing up a beloved nostalgic icon with films that starred Shia Lebouf, who's apologized for messing up another nostalgic icon in another film directed by George Lucas and Steven Spielberg. This is beginning to sound all too convenient...

Whatever, I never watched either of the Transformers movies, and I don't plan on seeing this one. To be honest, I just want him to go back to Bad Boys, because those frickin' rocked.

Bad boys, watchya gonna do...

What's the catch, Mr. Bay? Is the movie just going to be CGI explosions and transforming robots now? If so, then you're still not getting my money. But think about the positive side; at least I won't torture your testicles as much as I would've if you didn't take out the god-awful "Humor".

My problem with the Transformers movies was nit the geeky comedy (theres gonna be a lot of geeks in the audience) and i actually liked the 1st one (not amazing but decent) but the 2nd one was awful meagatron is dead so lets revive him and try hill him again wasnt exactly original.

My biggest peeves were the fact that 2 had a lot of American Pie (not bad in its own movie but not needed here) style humour with the oversexed college life and any scene with megan fox also the who Sam's Mum getting stoned wasnt right for the movie. Add that the borderline raciest twins and the dog on heat deceptacon that humped Megan fox's leg (Wheelie).

Also who could forget the balls on Devastator too *shudders*

Hopefully this new one is better he seems to be removing most of the bad parts but hasnt said what they are being replaced by

The Twins are awesome...if this were the 80's that is. That's the problem with Bay, he hasn't grown up. He's like that dude in Napoleon Dynamite, still making his movies with this 80's tinge. Cmon step-and-fetch robots in 2009, what? Only a delusional moron would okay that in this day and age.

And I believe everything Megan Fox said about him. Being awkward and whatnot when he's not directing. Dude's got issues.

Yeah, I hate Michael Bay.

Yes Mr. Bay that is a step in the right direction. Now all you need to do is get a really good team or writers. Perhaps the writers from Bioware can help or even Neil Gaiman. After that is all taken care of you will be fired from the project and someone like Peter Jackson will take over to direct the film. Honestly, George Lucas could do a better job at directing than Bay.

He just needs to learn when to cut out unnecessary scenes. And he is starting to get it.
Fucking this.

That whole stupid scene in the 2nd movie when Sam's mom ate hash brownies was so pointless. Grrr. Stupid Micheal Bay.

The first two movies were excellent movies....those who say otherwise know NOTHING about what makes a movie good IMHO.

However take out the comedy and you will have a DUD.

Bay you are an idiot for even thinking about doing this.

So Transformers 3 will be two and half hours of just explosions?
The problem is that I didn't find Transformers(watched it when it came on TV once) to have particularly good effects. The explosions were...meh.
That's... actually kind of sad considering they used real explosions.
Oh, they did? They just sort of lacked power in my eyes. That's the case in many movies, you don't get the sense that something just exploded with huge force, it's more like a big fireball(which I don't find very impressive).

Sarcasm doesn't translate well into writing.

I hope he will also get rid of putting robo-testicles in my face. Still not going to pay for that movie though.

The first Transformers movies were absolutely terrible, and I'm glad Bay himself is aware of this. What they need to do is get rid of the shitty comedy, yes, but also focus much less on Shia Labeouf's character and more on the... you know... Transformers.

I said it about the Nostalgia Critic's review of TMNT and I will say it here.

I don't give a damn how awesome an actor is, if he isn't fit for the role then that is that.
Fine then, I can actually get behind that sort of thinking. Would you care to elaborate on why you think they were mismatched, and who you're talking about in particular?

Taking out all the stupid humor would have shaven off about 40 minutes of Transformers 2's run time, even then the action scenes weren't that good because the robots were almost always grappling, and because almost all of the robots in the movies look the same it's just a close-up-shakey-cam-slow-motion-mess of a fight scene.

In any case, the Transformers series will never recover, the damage is done, man.
