I said it about the Nostalgia Critic's review of TMNT and I will say it here.

I don't give a damn how awesome an actor is, if he isn't fit for the role then that is that.
Fine then, I can actually get behind that sort of thinking. Would you care to elaborate on why you think they were mismatched, and who you're talking about in particular?
Jean Claude Van-Damme as Guile and Raul Julia as M. Bison in the Street Fighter movie. They were (are) good actors, but clearly the wrong choice for those characters.

The only place the strike only had influence was at shows that were being produced at the time (such as a very lacking third season of Avatar)
IMQHO The second season of Avatar was worse than the third I did not find any parts of the Third season to be lacking at all. It took FOREVER to come out and finish but I don't think it was lacking in the least bit. I do have to give kudos to the creators to have the subtle hints at death of characters but not going and saying that they out right died. IE Jet during the Ember Island Players they reference his death but then Sokka says that he isn't completely sure what happened to him.
Side note: I am really pulling for M. Night to not suck at that movie.

So Transformers 3 will be two and half hours of just explosions?
Don't forget slow motion helicopters in a sunset
On it's fiftieth Red-Bull, through a lens-flare, half obscured by a mournfully billowing American Flag.

Cookie for the reference.

I'd like to see a prequel i.e. the war on Cybertron. Two hours of giant robots beating the living shit out of each other continously just seems to good an opportunity to drop
... Why not just play "Transformers: War for Cybertron", which will be released on June 22nd? That way you'll probably get about 10 hours and more fun than just sitting still and doing nothing.
I have, its awesome. Demo is out and its the best Transformers game out, yes I know thats not saying much but its really fun. Its like UT but with giant robots and in third person.

... the hell?! I suppose you're right, but what in the name of God's favorite cookie dough does the horrible Street Fighter movie have to do with the cast of voice actors from Beast Wars?!

Your reference is Movie Bob review of 2012. Now where is my damn cookie. I need to drown it in this lonely cup of milk.

Anyway I really am hoping that they do something good with these movies. If this one sucks too I hope they get a completely different director and completely reboot the series and take new ways to the story and not this shit Bay has thrown in our faces so far.

Agreed. Until now the Transformers Armada game from 2004 was my benchmark for a really good Transformers game, but judging from the gameplay alone (we'll see how the story campaigns hold up) War for Cybertron is already shaping up to be better by several degrees.

I swear he mentioned it in the 2012 review when he talked about the part where the plane was flying away from the collapsing California.

I must go watch the 2012 review again to prove myself wrong now.

So he's shinning up the run-over, dried up dog turds for another pass, huh?

No thanks. I've had enough of my childhood raped, thank you very much.

EDIT: Also, since when was Shockwave a dictator? He manned the transport device that warped them back and forth to Cybertron. He's Megatron's door man. WTF. Sure, he tried a coup once or twice, iirc, but... dictator?

Ugh.
In the actual comic book canon, Shockwave becomes Decepticon leader on Cybertron for a long period, before becoming paranoid and mental, and is finally killed by Death's Head the bounty hunter.

Too bad they aren't getting rid of Michael Bay. That would be a step in the right direction.
Perhaps a one eyed lama, foaming at the mouth, and galloping at full speed backwards, would do a better job than him?
It's also possible to find plenty of stones, that are at least equally good at doing Bay's work.

If Micheal Bay really wants to save the franchise, then his dumbass should quit directing it since he doesn't know shit about doing it well! The screenplay should go to a better director like Stanley Kubrick or James Cameron. Or maybe he should just kill himself in an explosion and all will be forgiven.

*ahem,* sorry, that was a little harsh now that I look back on it, but seriously, screw Micheal Bay.
With a 10 foot stick of dynamite.
And lit by the repressed hate of all nostalgic fans.

1,2,3 - Bored.

Michael Bay can shut up, he's damaged the Transformers beyond repair now and no amount of "Dorky Comedy" or Megan Fox slashing will plaster over the cracks he's caused.

I'm one of the few people who loves Bay's vision of Transformers, but i was iffy on a few things.

My thoughts on Transformers 3.
+: No Megan Fox

-: No dorky comedy... some of the best scenes in the first 2 was the dorky comedy.
-: The space race... really... -sigh-

?: Hopefully well paced like the first, and less main focus on the US military:)

He just needs to learn when to cut out unnecessary scenes. And he is starting to get it.
Yes like this scene;

This is absolutely needed in the film, it tells us that the character is fit and firm therefore will be good at running away from giant robots, what that means is that scene is needed to make us believe her surviving a robot onslaught is plausible.

Michael Bay is clearly a genius.
Ahem sorry, what? I was too busy looking at that picture
