You know you edit your own post right? you don't need 3 posts in a row to say different things.NAHTZEE said:this is on my top 3 TO BUY list:

so you'd rate the original game poorly then?Straying Bullet said:The idiotic/bad ones easily get weeded out by a rating system. Nonetheless, prominent mods sometimes even overhauled the entire game or even better, added an entire soaked quality and quantity 2nd main quest to complete. Sometimes, it even rivals the original, which is granted isn't hard.zehydra said:Or people could play the actual game, and not some half-baked add-ons that people come up with.Straying Bullet said:Sorry, but being a major console player myself, I have to call bullcrap on your statement. Morrowind//Oblivion changed for the better due the Mod support out there. The game is played to this very day even still on the PC and the Mod community is still active.Kalezian said:demoman_chaos said:Thus the console versions are rendered pointless.
not really, its an easier way of getting achievements/trophies than having to deal with the Games on Windows mess. plus people like vanilla games too, contrary to PC elitist belief.
Console users on the other hand? Barely mate, the Console versions are really rendered useless after a few tries whereas the PC can enjoy basically unlimited replays/longevity without becoming stale or repeative.
I don't recall the console Oblivion to let me ride and fly a Dragon. No indeed, I miss that. I am forever cursed experiencing mods for the TES series. TES on the Console so far has been very bland and empty for me.
Really? A new engine? I thought they were just using a heavily modified version of the Gamebryo engine. Unless they were and they just decided to rename it.Logan Westbrook said:The new tools will be called the "Creation Kit," which refers to Bethesda's new Creation engine, and is rather apt, considering what they're for.
PC Oblivion will never surpass its console counter-parts because Modded Oblivion isn't Oblivion.Straying Bullet said:To be really frank, yes. I would. TES is one franchise I would never ever would give a high rating with the mindset the PC will surpass the console from day one.zehydra said:so you'd rate the original game poorly then?
But like I said, I am probaly spoiled after experiencing wonderful stuff in Morrowind // Oblivion on the PC.
I disagree. But I should clarify, official parts of the game are what make up the game, not fan-based addons. It's like saying Starwars fanfiction is a legitimate part of Starwars. You're right though, WoW is WoW with the expansions, because the expansions are an official part of the game.Straying Bullet said:Alright, I am not one to insult someone on the internet. But that is the ost ignorant crap I have ever read, don't bother quoting me again. Oblivion = Oblivion. Much like WoW is still WoW with all the add-ons attached to it or expansions.zehydra said:PC Oblivion will never surpass its console counter-parts because Modded Oblivion isn't Oblivion.Straying Bullet said:To be really frank, yes. Are you honestly trying to say that Oblivion can't be improved?zehydra said:I disagree. But I should clarify, official parts of the game are what make up the game, not fan-based addons.
