Doesn't that look like Nirnroot beside the lake?

That was a big step down from being the Nevaravine ie
Dark Elf Jesus in Morrowind.
Dark Elf Jesus. That is awesome. They should put that on the box, but I suppose it would be a bit of a spoiler? "Play as the Dark Elf Jesus!"
Not really it's pretty obvious 1/4 of the way through your going to become the Nevarine. Although your right they didn't advertise it like they're doing with Skyrim. Goes to show Bethesda does listen to criticism. Hence why they released Shivering Isles and let you become a literal god. Although Shivering Isle's was great they kind of screwed themselves since they've essentially written the most interesting Deadric prince out of existence. The Elder Scrolls just won't feel the same without this guy.

I can't wait to explore their new(ish?) stealth system. When it comes to TES, I've always been a thief/assassin type player. (I do magic users and fighters, too... But stealth is my forte.)

I <3 animated stealth kills.

that is all.
This. I play a thief/assassin in these games and stealth kills are going to greatly improve my experience.

Games always win soooo many points when they let you experience EVERYTHING without jumping perspectives. IE, if I'm playing first person, NEVER force me to watch anything happen in 3rd, it connects you with the game to such a greater extent.... that stealth kill would feel so much more personal if i could see it through my character's eyes....

Skyrim is set in the frozen north of Tamriel
Was anyone else reminded of the opening cutscene in NWN 1: Original Campaign?

Back on topic-

It does look pretty, I want to see more game-play videos atm, especially regarding any new features or improved old ones.

Is it me or do those screens look depresingly like Gamebryo?
A little of both maybe. I can see a resemblance, but when I start up Oblivion/New Vegas, then look at these... yeah, these look much better.

I just hope its more stable than Gamebryo. Or, actually stable.
Gamebryo, but they changed a bunch of stuff inside it. (One of them is the tech behind scripting events.)

Oblivion's engine is a modified version that Morrowind used. Skyrim's is a modification of Oblivion's engine.

According to Bethesda [http://www.escapistmagazine.com/news/view/106063-Bethesda-Ditching-Old-Tech-for-New-Elder-Scrolls-Game], its a new engine.

Texture quality is shit, and bumpmapping could use some work imo. Hopefully PC users will get to bump up the texture quality from that display, cause if not, I will be disappoint.

Screenshot 4, NO THANK YOU.
Everything else, well, not good enough. It looks good, sure, but when it looks the same as Oblivion then who cares? I don't want to trudge through boring dungeons and forests.

Interesting, considering that Bethesda said that Skyrim's engine would be based off the Gamebryo engine. Incidently, in the very same article you linked.

Hm... perhaps they meant the basic design would be the same, while everything else would be new?

Why spend money making something new when you can repurpose the old.
