The issue is that Zeel has the belief that the plot critical content is deliberately cut for Day 1 release.

Of course, until we actually get the game and play it, with and without said DLC, we won't know for sure. Not like it's stopping him from jumping around posting his guesses as if it was fact.

If there is no story / Lore content lost without buying the DLC, a character like this is fair play.

If there is any serious prothean lore gained from it, I am very sad. I don't think EA/Bioware would do that in such a manner though.

And concerning the other post of mine you quoted, I would like to just say, everyone complained about the game being delayed twice, they cut unnecessary (what they feel to be, don't shoot the messenger) content and people are now complaining they didn't delay it further?

Because if you acknowledge the fact that they are not liars. You must also acknowledge the fact that Michael Gamble and other Bioware representatives used in this debate must be telling the truth. If that's the case then it's a fact that are telling the truth in this article addressing the Day 1 DLC.

Guys, I think that post just confirms Zeel's lack of touch with reality troll status. I think he may be having as much fun as we are.

Fair enough. That's actually my line of thinking as well.

However, and let's face it here, if they had enough to time start, complete, beta-test, and bug fix a (as they put it) hefty chunk of DLC in between when the base game was completed and when it's set to release, then either it's not as "hefty" as they're implying or they started work on it long before the base game was complete.

Well I might be able to answer that for you. DLC is much easier to produce as it doesn't need to be tested as much, is shorter, and it doesn't have to ship with the disc. Bioware has been pretty open about how easy it is for them to make this stuff.

As for how hefty it is? I doubt the DLC will take anything longer than an hour an half to beat. They don't release super big DLC, it's mostly just adding a couple hours here and there to the game.

Well, depending on what kind of added content is put into the DLC, and what effect/place it has in the main games content, bug testing it can take fairly long. It's not that overly simple a process. So, unless they were just using assets already present in the main game (with a twist) it wouldn't be that quick to make and test. (which brings up another point of contention on the value of some day-one DLC, but I'm not going into it) That is, unless it's a rather small amount of content. Either way, Bioware's PR guy is BSing in one regard or the other.

Also, if this DLC is on the collectors edition disc, I will seriously start doubting the validity of Bioware's claims.

Very few things you can do on the internet will actually make you look like a badass, but this just makes you seem obnoxious.
