I'm a woman, but I played Commander Shepard as a man. Solider Class. I left his face the same because, why the fuck would I change it --- he's sexy as hell. That guy's voice could melt the panties off any woman. So no offense to Jennifer Hale, but I didn't want to HEAR anyone else's voice but... my sexy Shepard.

I took my time doing everything. Did everyone's side missions. 97 hours clocked on Raptr.com. Unlocked the Krogan. Upgraded the ship -- (that was the first thing I did). Chatted-up every woman on the ship, including Ensign Kelly and Talli. I got with Jack in the end. Because she is only hostel, but Miranda is a lying *****. I don't care what she looks like, she pissed me off on at least 4 occasions. Would have sooner slept with the krogan then Miranda.

I played Shepard as an awesome hero and saved the fucking Universe, and then told the "Elusive Man" to bite my ass at the end. Took his ship and flew off into the sunset. Heehaw.

I was a full Renegade Male Shepard, went for the Paragon ending though. My squad is basically Garrus and Tali, same as the first game. I just go with a heavy tech squad, and have biotics for myself as a Vanguard or Adept. Didn't lose a single crew member or squadmate on any of my play-throughs, but that's probably cause I got it long enough after launch I had kind of heard what the smart thing is to do. TIM is crying over his lost money and galactic badass right now.

Paragon female Shepard, remained loyal to Liara through the entire game, destroyed the base, reunited with Liara. Awesome.

I prefer Jennifer Hale, I can't stand male Shepard anymore.
Liara, Tali, Wrex, Mordin, Thane, Jack are my favorites in that order.

As long as they keep making the best games ever by including something for everyone, it doesn't matter what options were the most popular, I've said mine, they won't change, they aren't going anywhere. =)

I almost always play FemShep (I cannot manage to get a non-ugly male Shepard. My two exceptions were to romance Tali and Jack). Vanguard is my favorite, followed by Adept and Infiltrator. Always choose the paragon ending and usually have more-or-less paragon playthroughs.

Somehow I managed to keep my whole crew alive my first playthrough (I was annoyed at TIM over the trap and decided to do every other quest before the reaper. Lo and behold, passive agressiveness in-game pays off!). I keep saying I'm going to do a playthrough where everyone dies, but I haven't been able to bring myself to do it.

I did Mass Effect 2 twice, the second time I intended only to finish it on Insane (or hardcore, or whatever is the name of the hardest one), which i completely failed, I got stuck somewhere and and threw my hopes up (and I admit I actually set it on easy then, cause i decided i would only relive the story). Anyway, both times I played my decisions were quite similar, Lawson hated me by the end of the game, because I stuck with Jack all the way, no need to say I banged Jack (nerd moment: I'm totally into her lol). BUT, everyone survived the suicide mission, my spaceship was at its peak and the only thing I actually did different was my attitude towards the Illusive Man, first time around, by the end of the game I went in a "the ends justify the means" direction, but the second time, well, I was reading ME: Retribution and I really got pissed at the Illusive Man, so I changed my mind and, like other have said, I'm no longer in his Christmas list hahaha...

I always play as a female. African American, the voice that you see in most of the female youtube vids and Renegade. ALWAYS. and do I see her fall in love wit some guy? Heck no Liara T'Soni is my one true love.

Funny, I thought the solider was far too bland. Engineers FTW! That reminds me that I need to replay the game as a female infiltrator (probably a renegade too).

It doesn't matter, female Shepard is my canon. Just like female Revan. But it seems I'm one of the few who know the truth.

Female Shepard needs more love. I made both, for the record.

Also, who doesn't upgrade their ship? That's just wrong.

The soldier is the most boring class. I am insulted by that fact alone, everything else concerns me because of how it might effect the next game, but shit that is the fucking stupidest thing ever.

I played female Shepard mostly because I wanted to flirt with Archangel who was in fact my favorite. (Yes, I totally spoiled myself for everything.) Personally, I'm surprised that Soldier class is so popular. Yes, I tend to rely more on weapons than powers, but they're still a lot of fun. I remember one time my team actually knocked Warden Kuril off his platform, so I finished him off with a Vanguard Charge.

I also had 100% survival/loyalty/ship-upgrade, but that's because I cheated a bit... I had been lazing about a bit and decided to move on to Tali and Legion's loyalty missions when suddenly the final mission was slapped at me. So I restarted from a previous save file, which was just before Legion shows up... And then in the final mission, I got Legion killed in spite of my loyalty rate, and a bit of research showed me what I did wrong... I am too dependent on walkthroughs...

Would be nice to have the choice to have a British or American voice. Would also be nice to have a voice actor who is slightly less wooden than a plank of Oak. Also, thought I would say that the usage of the name "Archangel" was a compassionate addition by the author. Nice to see that this website respects spoilers.
