Eh, you can summarize anything in ten minutes, it's just going to be a shitty summary. Tolstoy's Anna Karenina (800 pages): "Anna has an affair and later commits suicide over it."

So 360 gamers will always have that advantage over the PS3 version. It is pretty silly to start porting on ME2, given that the whole trilogy being interconnected is essentially the core mechanic of the series.

You know what, Bioware? I used to look up to you guys. You're one of my favorite game developers of all time, and you pull a dick move like this. So tell me, how many people who own PS3s do you guys think have actually played the game before? Unless they own a 360 or a good PC, they most likely haven't. These people havent been waiting for this. Heck, I'm sure plenty of them have no idea what Mass Effect even is. This is nothing but a straight up dick-slap to all the true fans of the game. You know, the people who actually played both of them when they first came out? Congratu f-ing lations for making a new and improved version of a great game, but at the very freaking least you could release it on all platforms as a GotY edition. Instead, you completly blow of the fans in favor of the noobs who might not even buy the game because THEY DON'T F-ING CARE!
Who dares to call a Playstation player a "noob"?
I demand satisfaction from this common dandy!
xD

Anyway you shouldn't be so mad, 360 and pc players got their game sooner, and if you buy now it's cheaper. Ps3 players will be paying a full release price for a late game, so it's natural that they want to compensate for it. It's been done with a lot of PC ports.

That's because Microsoft have exclusivity rights to the first (it helps if you look up what you're talking about).

And almost anything can be summarised in 10 minutes.

I think it's because the first one is published by Microsoft or something.

The tears of the 360 owners in this thread are deliciously misplaced. Don't blame BioWare for this, blame Micro$oft and their stingy distribution rules for patches and extra content. If you want your patches, complain to Microsoft. They're the ones ruining shit for you.

I'm glad to see that BioWare is actually taking the time to make a good port, delayed ports from one console to another are usually rushed and lazy.

I laugh at all the console graphics, PC graphics dominate the consoles by a longshot due to console hardware limitations. Not to mention keyboard and mouse > controllers any day when it comes to shooters

I'd say this was a cash-in to try draw in as many profits for Bioware before Mass Effect 3 releases but i'm sure someone would defend it by saying something like "It's so PS3 owners can play the whole trilogy!".

Still reeks of money grubbing to me. Great game though.
Yeah i had the same idea.

When it the game started off as a 360 only it was only a matter of time for them to decide to put it on PS3 for more profit and the same happened with Bayonetta which i thought would be an awesome PS3 exclusive seeing as Devil May Cry was until 4 but thats how studios work these days they don't care about exclusives its about the "money".

you think ps3 ans are oblivious to what comes out on other consoles? don't be stupid, ps3 fans have been wanting this for awhile because its one of the best series of all time and they can't play it saying that they've never heard of it is like saying anyone who doesn't have a playstation has never heard of gran turismo or god of war

Like I'll buy this I'm not having my decisions in the first game made for me because they refuse to release it for PS3 I'll wait until I have a PC that can run it or a 360.

iv heard theres a bit more on the ps3 version because they had to cut bits out of the 360 one to fit it onto a dvd disc, but put them bits back in because it would all fit on a blu-ray

1- No one is playing these games for graphics alone
2- It's not going to look better than the PC version for a number of reasons
3- It doesn't have the content 360 and PC has, you know an entire prequel to play and make choices.

Seriously while I'm glad people who only have a PS3 are going to get to play the series it's just a shame they're missing the first game. And seriously all this bioware talk is just trolling to get people to talk about ME2 more. This is basically free marketing for them because people are going to want to see it all.

If you complain about the fact that ps3 players wont need to buy the premium dlc, i can agree with you. It should be made available for free in xbox live. Other than that, the "ps3 players are noobs and they dont deserve better graphics" is silly and childish. It seems that some xbox 360 gamers are pissed off just because bioware is being careful with the port. What´s so wrong with that?

Nice one Bioware.

Now how about you stop pissing off your 360 fanboys, release a patch that makes our version of the game that we paid full fucking retail price for look better, fix some of the (many, many) glitches, generally make it into the better game you outright fucking admitted was being made for PS3.

That's what pisses me off. Bioware actually came out and admitted that the PS3 version would be better, and fix things that still haven't been fixed on the 360 version. If it weren't for the legions of fans who bought 1 and 2 you wouldn't even be able to release this version for the PS3, so how about throwing us a fucking bone instead of grubbing after more money like the corporate whores we were all trying to pretend you weren't for a moment.

Fuck all videogame developers, because they all suck.
you do realise the ps3 hardware is better then the 360 and thus can support beter graphics right???( that is not a fan boy statment that is a fact)
I highly doubt that chap because i fell for many of ploys of gaming ports on the PS3 such as Bayonetta on the PS3 is horrible to play on the PS3 even with the patch it doesn't play up to the nice quality the 360 does and TF War for Cybertron on the PS3 had terrible loading times and really bad multi player until i once again got the 360 version and then everything turned alright.

The point is that not all console ports are a good thing especially when they are out to grab money and since i don't care for Mass effect i will finish by saying no the PS3 does not have more advanced hardware than the 360 otherwise i'd have an updated web browser on my PS3 followed by excellent 360 to PS3 ports ( which so far have never worked) and my 2nd PS3 to not overheat unlike the 360 i've owned for almost a year.

Cmon man, take a chill pill. You might start to realize what you're saying.

How many cross platform games do you think there are between all of the current-gen consoles? Between PS3 and 360? While its arguably not such a good trend (I think its aight), console-exclusive games are dwindling. And really, if you're going to play a sci-fi set game such as ME, you most likely follow more games that the 'casual gamer''s Madden or Call of Duty.

While I could almost cry for you 360 owners (sarcasm aside it does kind of suck), do realize, assuming you got ME new, you spent some $60US... around this time LAST year. Dont sweat the dough when you've had ample time to play an apparently great game in return.

Yes, but what about the glitches? Bioware have expressly stated that they are going to be fixing the little glitches whcih sometimes occur in the 360 version. So what, they couldn't release a patch, or a download, or something which makes the game actually run for the 360, but they are going to spend their time making it again in its entirety on a different engine? I don't care about graphics, but I do care about a game that occasionally glitches when I play it.

I know there are always glitches, but when I pay £40 for a product I expect to get one that is finished, and I especially don't want for a few years down the line someone to come out with a slightly better version of that product that I have to buy an entirely new system on which to enjoy it.

You wait, you get a better product. That's how gaming works.

Think of all of the GOTY editions that come out for games. You could make an argument for those. Also, how the price drops dramatically for consoles if you wait long enough. I got my PS3 for $300, while people who bought it at launch got it for $600. At the same time, I got it like 3 years after it came out. I guess you could say you're paying for convenience of having it earlier than everyone else.

Oh, and it's worth noting that I got the 360 version as well. So I'm not just talking as someone who is benefited by this.
But I have waited, and I haven't got a better product, instead the game developer I was so faithful to have announced that they are going to make the better product, but if I want to enjoy it then i have to shell out hundreds for a new system on which to enjoy it. I'm fine with GotY editions, if I like a game enough I might buy the GotY edition when it comes out, if it fixes glitches and bugs, but Bioware haven't fixed glitches and bugs, they've announced that they're going to for a whole different console.

Also, as mentioned above, anything I am expected to pay £40 for had better be an actual finished product that isn't bugged up the ass, or I expect full refunds or replacements and apologies when it breaks, as with my 360. Are Bioware offering a new patch entirely free or monies in recompense to people who didn't play the experience at the best it could be? No? Then my 'fuck you' stands.
