I know man. I had a similar reaction, but it made his hat that much better in context. Who wouldn't want to cover that up?

OnT: And behold all. This might just be the reaction to Tali's face.
Just because it's a secret, doesn't mean it will do any good to have it revealed.
This poor man just suffered a complete let down. Take note Bioware, for revealing her face will do the same to about 85 percent of fans.
while i now understand why he covered it up, i was just in such shock because he is a human child..and a child..who is like 11 if that. i mean wtfffff

now in tali's case i know she is an alien and i know the general setup of her eyes and the overall shape of her head already, so therefore in her case i wouldn't be as suprised/disgusted as what ever is underneath it..

but still i was expecting something like kyle's hair from south park, a big poofy ginger jew fro or something.
But you were expecting something when you thought what would be under Double D's hat right? I'd always thought he had really lovely hair, shiny and long. Something he would get teased about it being really freaking girly, so he would cover it up.

We were both disappointed.

It's going to be the same for Tali, because even though she's an alien, we both have different ways of seeing her. I think she'll look like a female geth since Legion looks similar to Kal Reegar. I mean, Bioware might take all our conceptions and twist it into something either really great or really horrible. She could have fish scales or something with fish lips.

Either way, a million and three people will hate the reveal and a million and three will love it. Just have it as a really impossible Easter Egg or something.

You want it, work for it....*****.

"We changed Tali - that was tough because people were very passionate about her. A lot of people want to have her face revealed and obviously people are going to be pissed off either way"
This is so sad (and ABSOLUTELY 110% true), that I legitimately feel sorry for Bioware.

It's also a bit Ironic, that the developers of more Morally ambiguous, "no-right-answer" moral decisions, than any other dev house........is now trapped in a morally ambiguous, "no-right-answer" decision.

And as a fan of Irony, this makes me chuckle. Good luck Bioware XD
Heh, heh, heh. Thanks for cheering up my evening with that. I do keep thinking of other forms of gaming irony. Like Shigeru Miyamoto appearing as a contestant on 'Total Wipeout'. Or Bethesda's dev team surviving a nuclear attack. We could keep going with that...

I think that they should at least give you the opportunity to choose
either to see Tali's face or not. So if you want to stick with the idealized
image of Tali, you can, but if you want to see her face you would also be able.

Seems like a win-win to me. And would fit in with the choise system they
implemented in ME. At least that is what i think.

Just show us a Quarian face Bioware. Any face will do. The only reason I romanced her in the first place was so I could see her face...(and because Miranda, and Jack are massive BIOTCHS. And I don't know how I feel about bumping...fingers...minds..or whatever with an Asari.)
You could've gone for Kelly!! She was quite hot.
Yeah, but I dunno Kelly seemed lacking in personality. I'm pretty sure if I slapped her around she would be fine with it and like me even more. Plus ya know...I really didn't know that was a choice until I had already romanced Tali :/ Oh well. Tali is a pretty swell thing.

Seriously though, keep it a secret. More fun that way. Nothing is ever as good as in the imagination.

ha well i just didn't expect...that. i expected "hair", maybe in a odd way, not something that looked like a mop that got set on fire then dumped in grease and hasn't had a shower in 5 years.

and yes i do agree it shouldn't be the "main", and at the least let me see a "quarian's" face, but they NEED to have SOMETHING in there..

^I put my money on that.^

"Hey Tali, are you ready?"
*Pulls mask of* "OH YEEEEAH! BONESAW IS RED-DY!"

I wont lie, on my list of favorite characters, Tali is in the top 10. Right in between Raziel and Jhon Marston. I hope if theydo show her face, they dont make her "super hawt alien babe every man to ever exist wants to sleep with".
Ive always thought she was kinda nerdy, maybe not the perfect woman facial wise.

But to be honest, anything is better then Miranda "Man-jaw Billboard Brow" Lawson.

There's a reason why the neighbour on Home Improvement, or the G-Man's machinations have never been revealed. It's the same reason Too Human, Duke Nukem Forever, Chinese Democracy, and all other vaporware (Real, bona-fide vaporware, not the few years Alan Wake or L.A. Noire got) always disappoints: Our imagination is better than anyone else's.

It would be cute if we didn't find out, because that would mean Shepard doesn't give a crap about what she looks like. You know. Like real romance.
I was of the opinion that it should be reveled. But it's these two points that make me change my mind.

1 vote for 'mystery'. :)

Everyone knows Tali looks like this:

Very funny thread [http://social.bioware.com/%3Cbr/%3Ehttp:/social.bioware.com/forum/1/topic/105/index/931488/1] on BW Social forums with plenty more.

At this point the helmet really has to stay on. If they'd done it last game it would have been fine, a nice and quite unexpected twist at the end of the romance path. Now it's been built up into this great noodle incident and nothing they actually reveal can ever match the fan's expectations.

Revealing the face would do more harm than good I think. We humans like to use our imagination to fill out things.

I'd like to see her face, but there's going to be nerd rage no matter what. If you show her face, it won't live up to expectations. If they don't show here face, Bioware headquarters may be burned to the ground by a pack of rabid Talifans. Therefore, showing her face may be for the greater good.

I think they should at least show an unmasked Quarian, because in ME3 we know we get to see a Krogan "princess" and they've hinted at showing female Turians. Maybe have an Easter egg where you discover an unmasked Quarian corpse or something.

Tali's cloven feet and phosphorescent eyes are a bit off-putting though.

Another way that Bioware could go about this is having her revealing her face optional. I dunno, I really don't care either way to be honest.

Kind of like the "No Russian" mission in MW2. It would definitely break the flow of the game, however.

Alternately, for a little bit of irony, they could make it so the only way to see Tali's face would be to have her die. She takes a fatal hit in combat, perhaps in the reclamation of her homeworld and decides she wants to breathe the air before she bleeds out?

Or, Bioware could release her face...in a DLC that costs 20 bucks. MONEY!

God, I'm going to gamer hell for even suggesting the idea of DLC...EA would love me. :D

Ugh to be honest after this crappy year I've had, I would love to just be able to see Tali's beautiful face. Then It wouldnt have completely sucked. That being said of course, not everyone who plays Mass Effect has had as terrible of a year as I have, so I do understand from a writing standpoint why they would not want to show her.

I'm sure she'll be hot. BioWare seems intent on making every female character overtly hot. Just look at the Ashley redesign or Miranda. Or Jack's lack of...um, upper body attire.

But I find it funny that the people that created her apparently have no idea what she looks like, even after 5 or so years.

It'll be interesting to see her face, if we do actually get to see it. Any quarian's face at this point would be great, really.
