I mean, sure he looks like he should be wearing a "Tapout" shirt. I once called a guy upon meeting him a guido meathead douche, and then we ended up being drinking/surfing buddies. You never know how people really are until you try to get to know them.

Well he looks wholly uninteresting and bland.

I'm incredibly wary by what they mean by "Perspective of the new player", granted that probably means he's just going to be asking questions about everything that was established in the first two games.
Yeah, probably he is just there to accomodate new players who purchased the "best entry point to the Mass Effect series" and didn't play the first two.
Are they really saying that the third game in a trilogy is the best entry point for the series?

Really?
They're saying it's the best place to jump into the series. Obviously it's not better than starting from the beginning, but it's a better jumping in point than the second game (which only has a comic for PS3 users to explain what has been going on).

It seems like people are quick to assume he's worthless. BUT, he may prove to be the most kick-ass crew member combat-wise, so try to keep an open mind.

Doesn't look promising i'll be honest. He's gonna be the Character i never chose to have in my squad unless the game tells me to. Just looks like a very generic meathead that's obsessed with high powered guns. Great.

This time I kinda hope that romance can happen behind the scenes. Where you initially think Vega is just some dude, in the way that Jenkins was just some dude. But then you find that Vega is bangin' Ashley... or Miranda... or JacoborKaidenorKellyorthosetwoengineers.
DA2 did this, a little bit, with Fenris and Isabela. It would be nice if they could integrate stuff like that into this game in the same way - it shows that the characters have lives of their own and stuff happens even when you're not there.

Don't know if anyone posted this yet but he looks exactly like Tank from The Matrix. The actors name is Marcus Chong.

It will also be interesting to see if he's going to be one of the homosexual love interests in Mass Effect 3, or if that role belong to a different character, or indeed, characters.
come on, look at him. forget the jersey shore, i bumped into this guy wearing nothing but a day-glo pink thong and leg warmers at the pride parade.

I'll try him out Bioware, but I have my team kind of locked up.

Oh god, trying so hard not to stereotype, but he just....is he one of the gay love interests? Or maybe he's just lost...like he's trying to figure out who in their right mind would put him under crazy Shepard's command.

I'll treat him like any other person joining my crew... if he's able to learn, change, or cooperate with the others, he's fine. If he demands a solo act or is resistant to new ideas... out the airlock he goes.

So yeah, I'm a wait and see... but my gut feeling is I probably won't like him.

Oh no. They added a meathead, jock character that doesn't fulfill my nerd wish fantasies for the game. How awful. Clearly introducing a wide variety of personalities and character archetypes is something that Bioware obviously shouldn't be doing.
I know! I was all ready to have a gaming orgasm due to ME3 and it's awesome Sci-fi but now that a character like this is in it, I think it'll be ruined, no doubt because it's going to turn into some Jersey Shore sports game or something. Because why else would they introduce a character like that? Variety? Please...

So, this guy's going to be like Ronan out of SGA. Cool. Course, the last thing I want is a guy like that hitting on me... (shudder)

Sooo, most popular prediction: über-macho SPEEHSH MARHEEEN ends up being gay, an appropriate parody of the hypermasculine meathead shooter protagonist. Awesome. Coming onto him will make my renegade Femshep a fag hag, pardon my french, which suits her obnoxious disposition.

That's him? I guess people will like him more once they put him in a suit of armor, maybe Bioware should have done that first. I adjust to stuff quickly anyway, so I'm not too bothered.

Hey everybody, just imagine if your first sight of the default male Shepard was in that get-up, pretty sure people would act the same way.

Hey, could always use more muscle. Especially with Earth about to be smoked.

(And of course, if he is a potential love interest for Shepard, gotta note that people DID whine for the gay option so why not a hunk? lolz)

If he's like Jayne from Firefly, then I'm all for it.
I wholeheartedly agree!

Not saying being gay is bad (heathens!) but I don't think the shoudl just add someone to throw a nod to the gay community (or is it homosexual community, you can never tell with those guys)I think it's a cop out for not having it in the first two. Stand with what you started.
