I agree with Blizz on this, and frankly this is a bad sign for Valve to be doing this.
This is a mark against your coolness factor, Valve. Don't make me lose faith in you.

According to this guy, some people in Valve are steering away from honesty towards money-first Kotickism. The guys working on this game ayways.
That blog has been called as bullshit by multiple valve employees, I doubt it's true.
but this one is true.
http://www.dota-allstars.com/index.html
It is by Pendragon. If you play DotA: Allstar you should know who he is.
By the way that url is the old Offical DotA: Allstar website before Icefrog left and made his own.

So Icefrog already tried to sell DotA to many companys before,
and He successfully sold DotA to both S2 games and Valve.
Fact:
and he isn't even the creator of DotA or DotA: Allstar.
Anyways, what S2 games did in HoN which is copied DotA: allstar as close as possible but avoid copyright issues. It is very likly that the blog is right about IceFrog want them (S2 and Valve) to copy as closly as possible.
About his name, I don't know at all, but does that matter?
IceFrog never tell us any thing about himself, beside which state he live in.
Side note: Alike most DotA fan we thought IceFrog left dota-allstars.com because he didn't want to make profit from it. However his action at Valve prove us wrong (if it is free why trademark it). I remember when S2 announce HoN, IceFrog told us that a little competition is good. Now we know he was always behide it all...
