I did read your post, can't answer it because I don't have the PS3 version. It's just the 12th or so forum about borderlands today and it's driving me fucking mental. Didn't mean to cause offence.

That's why I wrote about something interesting regarding problems with it, rathering than praising it as it was released a few days ago, so I figured this forum would be littered with people who can't shut up about it.

So you're saying that you'd go to a place where you'd a figure a lot of people who like the game are... so that you can complain about it? I'm pretty sure that makes an asshole.

I'm not whingeing about the game, just the mic capability. i didn't bump it, I asked if I was the only one that had bought it on Ps3. As I've already stated to you, get out.

If host side doesn't have a problem, then it may have to do with the VOIP going to the host and back.

Essentially there may be a problem with (Sony live? I dunno what the PS3's online thing is..PC FTW ) service. Also the games are hosted on the persons console and not a dedicated server.


So my guess is just a problem with the packets getting there and back, probably in the "Getting back" part.

Hmmm, well I have Borderlands for the Xbox 360. It's okay, even if I'm more of an RPG fan than a shooter fan. I however just gave up (for the moment) in relative disgust because while playing through Sledge's Safehouse with a level 13-14 Llith I was going through very slowly and doing okay, until the game started to spawn "Badass" level monsters which have incredible durability. I ran back towards the beginning of the level to get ammo, and monsters respawned including this "Badass Bruiser" that deserves to be in guiness book for durability who had a triple firing shock elemental rocket launcher. It took me like an hour of dying to kill him and the other stuff that spawned with him. Eventually I got him by playing stupid games with corners and headshotting him with a damage 128 Sniper Rifle I was carrying a whole lot of times (this weapon had so far killed anything else level 13-14 with one shot to the head).

I know what the guy had for a weapon because I got it when I finally took him down, and it's not bad, but seems nowhere near as effective in my hands as it was in his.

After that I needed a break, but honestly I can't help but think, "WTF were they thinking" when stuff like that spawns fairly close to the beginning of the game. It's not a boss, it's a bloody trash mob.

Just wait until you run into the Crimson Lance.............

OT: The 360 version has a few problems to. Sometimes events in the middle of quests won't trigger properly and you have to reload the last save.

Its fallout with multiplayer in a sense, except less frustrating than fallout since they do supply you with plenty of items to keep you going.

So...we're fantards for making completely non-hostile comments about how ours is working? Honestly, I'd help you if I could, I'm not trying to say that: "360 IZ BETTAR THEN PISS3 LOLOLOLOLOLOLOOOOL UZ TEH SUCK LOLOLOOLOOL" That's a fantard, all we've been doing is saying we don't have this issue, and in my case, asking why an online game wouldn't support voice.

Me and some people I have been talking to on Xbox live for about a year are playing the game, and it's WAAAAY more fun with 4 people of different classes leveling up together, the game adjusts the difficulty masterfully, we genuinely have to work together to take things down. But I wouldn't play with randoms, honestly, if you have online friends play with them, maybe you can convince your RL friends to play it too.

I don't know how much I can actually contribute to this thread since I don't have a mic for my ps3 but I have noticed a problem with the sound (By sound I mean talking to eachother and other such things) for borderlands. Whatever you do, if other people can understand what you're saying then it's just fine.

I have it for the 360, and the mic works perfectly fine? The game is probably one of the best games ever made IMO.

While i haven't tried using my mic yet (only use it to berate people), there is still very little in the way of communicating with group members, ie the leader seems to decide what quest to do, and where we go. thre should be some form of party voting system, or proposal idea, so the party can easily agree on what to do and not have anybody repeating quests (in older areas).

I agree, but I'd really prefer to get the mic issue sorted first, then deal with the rest of the issues.
