Others have already explained the reasons how it would not be so simple as you say.Outright Villainy said:This is exactly why people complain about the lack of female characters, actually. They could find the time to add so much unnecessary tweaks to customisation, yet negate the absolute most basic.dancinginfernal said:And people still complain about the lack of female characters.
Don't worry, even if they did include female characters people would probably just complain that the "bewbs" slider doesn't go up high enough.dancinginfernal said:And people still complain about the lack of female characters.
Eh... other devs don't have much of a problem. It's a question of priorities.dancinginfernal said:Others have already explained the reasons how it would not be so simple as you say.
I wasn't talking about it being simple. I was just saying they shouldn't have bothered with customisation at all if they're going to neglect the absolute basics.dancinginfernal said:Others have already explained the reasons how it would not be so simple as you say.Outright Villainy said:This is exactly why people complain about the lack of female characters, actually. Amen to that brother.WaaghPowa said:For me it was because it's TF2 with free running and "realistic" elements, as opposed to cartoon. It looks great, and I hope that it turns out to be just as much fun as TF2. If it does, you can guarantee many hours will be spent playing it.TriggerHappyAngel said:I like Brink because of the movement system and the team based gameplay, but the fact that it's character customization is that huge makes it even better.
Problem?BadassCyborg said:This is an outrage! This is obviously a snide, purposeful attack on women everywhere, to deny us the ability to create a female character! Insulting!!!
I hope brink and borderlands have a love child someday...Jabberwock xeno said:Damn, that's more guns then Borderlands!
i think in one of the dev interviews, they said that they had to go to whatever region, and find someone there, get enough takes, and then pay that person. they did a lot of weird stuff for the customization in this game.Xyphon said:All of those customizable options, but they couldn't get more than 8 voice actors? >_>"
Unless "packs" means an unspecified number of voices in different catagories like smart ass, insane, smart ect.
Yeah, because "all or nothing" is how budgets and time constraints work at game studios. They didn't have the funds to implement a full set of female models, so they shouldn't have done the male ones properly? I'm not saying I don't think females should be in--they should--but condemning a company that went the extra mile just because they didn't go the extra five miles seems a little unfair.Outright Villainy said:I wasn't talking about it being simple.
