It pretty much WAS the second coming of christ when it comes to online play. Whether you like the game or not is irrelevant because a heck of a lot of people did otherwise Xbox LIVE wouldn't have become what it is today. LIVE was probably just a gimmick to some people when it launched and Halo 2 turned it into a standard that about all the biggest shooter games follow for online play today.Mr. Mike said:Why should I be thankful for matchmaking peer-to-peer online gaming? If Halo 2 is the creator of this, then how's that a good thing? Therefore it could be concluded that through them, there are very few dedicated servers on console online gaming today. And that UI everything seems to imitate? I'm sure that that's imitating something that existed on PCs for years.
I just don't get why it's hailed as the second coming of Christ. It doesn't need to be. Sure, it's sad that it's closing down to some people. Then they can go play it on PCs (if they have Vista that is).
And if you want to continue talking about the "superior" PC then don't. It'll save a lot of space on this thread since it's about Halo 2's end on LIVE.
