It's only publishing so it shouldn't effect the quality of their games but... remember ODST? That expansion that Microsoft turned into an full-priced game? You need a publisher so hopefully Activision can keep this civil.

From the strength of their Halo sales Bungie are in a strong position to negotiate terms. Activision is where the money is for advertising etc. Is Acti really any worse than Microsoft?

All of these multinationals are only there to make massive amounts of cash for share holders. If you believe any of them are here for the good of mankind you are sorely mistaken.

Bungie had a massive hit with Halo that seems to keep selling and selling. We will see how they fair with a new IP. I don't believe they will be able to have the same level of success they had with Halo. They were doing the right things at the right time with Halo, it was like hitting the lottery. It will be interesting to watch though.

Did you even play MW2? the game was rushed out of release, there was no play testing, the game has more bugs than a indy release and it's a AAA multiplayer game with about as much balance as a hippo on a tight rope. Infinity ward is all but destroyed because of it, the list goes on... now you are going to say it has no effect?
