Damn, the Internet Police got to it before I did. Google! I require assistance!

http://www.worldstarhiphop.com/videos/video.php?v=wshhTq85Q0SUro3x38mr

Thank you Google.

Is this what this thread is about? If so, let me weigh in:

The bus driver's job is to break up fights and avert conflict in these situations. In a broad sense, he has accomplished that. Good on him for performing his civil duty.

However, he did it by uppercutting one of the participants in the face. Which makes him a badass, but although the participant was the more aggressive and less willing to co-operate, it is unfortunately a terrible thing to do to a person.

As for the sudden gender thing. Perhaps I missed some dialogue, but I don't think the bus driver was sexist for hitting her. She wasn't co-operating, the guy sat down. Also, "I'm a female" isn't a defence against being hit. But it doesn't matter. Because what happened was a real-life shoryuken and that is just the best thing to ever happen unnecessary violence.

She acted like a *****, got punched and thrown off the bus. The same thing would have happened if she was a man. That's some solid equality there. I approve.

Not sure if this has been posted yet. But I think it's too good not to share.

OT: Eh, sometimes good ol' violence is the best way to deal with a person, you really think the bus driver could have calmed the women down/got her out of the bus by talking to her? I'm not gonna bother debating, though.
Dat Guile theme makes even the unsavory fights entertaining.

From what the young turks had to say, looks like the driver lost his job because of this. Wonder if he would have lost said job if the troublemaker/"victim" was male. I mean he got rid of a troublemaker who was endangering everyone.

Be it whether he dragged that person out of the bus or kicked her out, there would still be some form of outcry about how he acted this way with a woman.

Seriously, double standards are funny.

This is really bad, but I laughed a little when I read that title. One hell of a punch too, be interesting to see what happens next though.

My God, this is horrible. I mean, why would you film that vertically? The audio quality sucks too, so much peaking.
ON TOPIC: I have nothing to say about the bus driver hitting the woman... fair game, but I don't know the context.

OFF TOPIC: What I do know is that the Vertical Video Syndrome video is funny as hell! Thank you for posting it!

Hahaha. I actually see nothing wrong with that clip.

The woman was acting like an ass, so she gets punched. That is so simple, and it makes so much sense--it's beautiful. People need to learn to use their indoor voice.

An appalling lack of self control meets a thoroughly dislikable woman. Every unjustifiable action has an equally unjustifiable reaction?

No problem with his actions here, she got physical with him first and he is perfectly entitled to defend himself.

The people on the bus crying, "But she's a female!" - shut the fuck up, equality.

Who's the guy in the hi-viz jacket? Does he work with the bus company? It seems like he should have intervened.

Pretty sure bus comapnies have policies on dealing with unruly passengers. Pretty sure these policies apply to male and female. Pretty sure none of these policies involve a crack to the jaw.

Was an uppercut the best response to the situation? No.

Was an uppercut a good response to the situation? No.

Was it a fucking awesome and satisfying uppercut? Hell yeah.

Fucking amazing. I love watching shit go down on buses and subways etc.
I'm quoting you because I want a base for my comment.

Everyone, go to 0:26. you should see the guy with the orange vest just about to sit down. When he does, the camera shakes and you notice the girl stepping in quickly, extending her arm towards the bus driver, and then stepping back out.

If someone lays their hands on you, do you have the right to defend yourself?

You can't win when someone accosts you and they are simply ignorant. In fact, the more intelligence you heap on them, the more angry they seem to get. It was a losing battle. He tried to keep it verbal, she touched him, he snapped.

I get it. At the end of the day, you, me, him, her, we're all still apart of the animal kingdom. We're not above things just because we want to feel different. You attack me, I attack you. Same in all forms of nature.

You start shit, deal with the consequences. Don't expect special treatment.
It's that simple.

"Unreasonable force" is quite apropos; I've found most angry people to be quite unreasonable.

Inb4 all the dudes saying `WELL EQUALITY` with a bit too much relish (and these people are usually the ones who only care about `equality` when it's smacking someone in the face).

Snore
This.

Don't be a dick to people, no matter what your gender/race/age/etc.etc.etc.

That aside, the correct answer after punching her would have been to drag her off the bus (she looked, what, a hundred pounds, less? If it was the skinny girl I saw there.), drop her on the sidewalk, get back in the bus, and leave her ass on the curb.

Still, what is you people's deal with wanting to punch women? Is this a thing where once society says it's a no-no, you *really* want to do it? Like, if suddenly punching women was culturally acceptable, would we get over this? Or is this some kind of weird vengeance for what people perceive to be nonexistent "unfairness" (waaaahhhhh men always get accused, waaaaaahhh women are sacred and can do no wrong in the eyes of authority waaaahhhh I should have the right to beat up on someone and get away with it, too!)

It's assault and battery no matter who does it, quityourbitchin.

Anyway, here's a comic which sums up my opinion of the "gender war" concept here:

Well she hit him first apparently . Thats the problem . You hit someone you get hit back . What we saw was from a cellphone , the bus ( hopefully) will have cameras to prove he didn't get violent for no reason . Now the reason people get into a gender war is because she is a woman . Being a man , should he just let her hit him without retaliating. How are you going to advocate equality , while still keeping privaleges ( can't spellthat word) like " men shouldn't hit women". Is violence good? No , but one should have the right to retaliate when someone hit's them , be it man or women .

OT: Damit i came in hoping it wasn't a black woman , and by golly it was . I swear you never see white women getting all roudy and violent let alone hit by a bus driver .

OT: epic fucking uppercut, and damn straight for her biting off more than she can chew, if you are an annoying ass ***** and start shit, i pray you get what's coming to you to take you down a few notches.

seriously, the amount of loud garbage that comes out of some people's mouths that goes unchecked...fuckin christ.

She got what she deserved.

If you're gonna attack someone, better be prepared to be hit back.

You do realise the privileges you are talking about were started by men because they think women are so weak.

There are no women here going 'Oh my gosh he shouldn't have hit her because she is a woman.' NOT ONE, because that view in itself is sexist.

Stop making an issue up where there isn't one.
