Ever.

As far as I know, I'm only able to cry at funerals
You and me buddy...perhaps tears freeze before they come out since we're scandinavian?.

OT: pretty much like said above, only it's just that it takes me TONS of sadness to make me cry...the last year I cried 2 times for real, once because I had to leave the closest thing i had to paradise, and the other time 'cause it was a funeral...that being said I have cried at games before, though I don't remember exactly which or why.

End of MGS4, during the first set of credits. Before the massive cutscene which follows them. DAMN YOU HIDEO PLAYING WITH MY EMOTIONS. I'll admit it. There was a tear down my cheek.
Yeah, I mean who could have thought that these are not *real* credits :D

I can't watch this without crying. Fuck you, Lost Odyssey. And yes, I have been posting that like crazy, why do you ask?
A few of those memories got me close, as did FFX.

And does anyone remember the ending to Klonoa? That was upsetting.

When it held Big Boss' voice actor on screen I figured it, but it was a cruel move none-the-less.

I find it very hard to cry for anything, be it movies, games, even good ol' reality. Although I have played games where I was choked up with emotion. There is nothing wrong with that, and if I could get myself to cry, I might have done that also.

I've never cried to a game. But then again I've not even cried at a good movie or book either. They can get me to choke up but it takes a really good moment from a game, movie, or book.

A few Final Fantasys... a few Tales games... they've all been RPGs I'm sure about that much.

Twice during FF7 but I was young, once when the plate fell and we lost Biggs, Wedge and Jesse and of course Aeris Death scene. I dont cry anymore at games but I have been choked up at times.

EDIT: Actually on reflection there wereone or two other moments, I got the Otacon ending of MGS first playthrough that was sad :( and Sniper Wolfs aftermath and when Grey Fox shows up at the end...

Wow, I have to say, this is a horrid piece of news. Plus, it's just three short paragraphs, nothing of intrigue at all. I thought it was a random thread created by an Escapist user, but seeing it in the news room?

Of course video games can make you cry, but very little of those have the goal of doing so. Lost Odyssey? Probably one of the saddest stories around in it.

Came close while watching this:
But I've never cried.

I can definitely see it happening, though. Especially when the music is as awesome as Phantasmagoric.

Mother 3 had me crying at the end. I still hold it as one of the most heartwrenching gaming experiences I have experienced in my life.

EDIT: Damn, Hazy, what with your ninja'ing me. Probably was ninja'd by others, too, but don't have time to read the rest of the thread...
