What's this about Asura's Wrath ending DLC? When I played the game I could get the "True" ending on my own. You finish the game once then it tells you that to get the "true" ending you have to get S rank on 3 missions, which is easy.
Since I had already done this I just did "True" episode 18. It's the same as normal except with a different ending cutscene to show what "really" happened.

Is there another one you have to pay for or something?
Out of curiousity did you see the ending scene after that. The hand drawn title cards after each episode? Since it literally tells you that the story will be finished at another time. So yes they are literally selling you the actual ending unless you decide to say that normal episode 18 is the ending and not bother with the others.

In the "True" ending I got

Olga took your daughter hostage and threatened to kill her. Then the golden spider killed olga and freed Mithra saying that you would not hurt his "host" or something like that. I think he then took over her body and revealed that he is the God or creator or something. I do remember getting the title cards after that, I believe he say's something about an experiment being over and then that he would let the universe continue for now.
Im not really sure, if you can tell me what the dlc ending is supposed to be please do since I can't look at youtube right now.

I have never heard of dlc for this yet and would be really dissapointed if Capcom actully did this.

I can't wait until Angry Joe gets wind of this. I bet he'll go on a massive tirade.
Too late for that i'm afraid. In fact he did a "Rant" about this about..well a month back now i believe.

OT:
Well nothing new really. I mean all companies now go with DLC and all that, its not exactly a suprise, and given that they will always use the same excuse at the end of the day "gauging the ratio of content/cost"´..or in short, they will continue to offer us horrendous deals like these, and worse even, to see how much of the game they can cut for DLC content you have to pay extra for..well or until someone screams loud enough about it.

Capcom are a bunch of pricks at this point anyway. I can see the point that you can basicly ship DLC already with the disk and unlock it later, but that defeats the idea of DLC, its DOWNLOADABLE content, its not called "Already on Disk but unlocked later" content, now is it?

Maybe they're actually just very, very stupid and thought DLC, which spent decades existing as post-launch developed additional content meant to extend the length and value of a game, actually meant "content we can cut out of the game and put on the disc because we can't even be half-assed to host it on our own servers because we are THAT incompetent and lazy."

Dammit, Capcom used to be brilliant. Dino Crisis, Power Stone, Breathe of Fire, Onimusha, Viewtiful Joe, Chaos Legion, Gargoyle's Quest, Darkstalkers, Rival Schools, Killer 7, Godhand, Mega Man Legends, Strider, Captain Commando, Ghosts 'N Goblins, Maximo, Devil May Cry... Ducktales...

... They lost any soul and moral fiber and their games became money-driven shells.

I almost feel like Capcom views its customers with DISDAIN and feels a-okay with scamming and deceiving the very people who made them who they are.

Man, I hope karma bites them in the ass HARD. If only because I want them to make, not only good games, but games we WANT to buy rather than feel dirty about once supporting.

As another fellow Escapist mentioned, he already went on a tirade.

I'm going to call this the Year of the DLC War. I don't have a particular game company or studio from whom I refuse to buy games; instead I avoid bad products. I haven't played Capcom X Tekken so I don't know if it's any good. But I do know that in the past few years Capcom has been really bad about trying to get you to buy the same game four times over.
They promised they wouldn't keep coming out with new versions of Street Fighter IV. Guess what happened.

Now we have a market flooded with titles that are offering up to 60% more content with DLC that come in $20 spoonfuls. Gears of War 3, Call of Duty, Saint's Row 3, Batman Arkham City, Mass Effect 3 (I'm assuming, they don't have a lot out yet), and I'm tired of thinking of names of games so moving on!

I see the locked content on Capcom X Tekken as a space-saver. Instead of paying for DLC that will then clog up your hard drive, it's merely paying for a way to open up the content. That's not where I have my grievance. Where I have a problem is the trend to withhold major pieces of content in the first place. Major game companies are now testing the limits of just how much they can squeeze out of every title, and if consumers are not willing to deprive themselves of a little entertaining distraction it will only get worse. This upcoming November might see titles sectioned off to just single player experiences, with added charges for access to multiplayer, side quests, or even proper endings.

This takes my gaming experience out of the comfortable feel of an arcade to more of a high-end luxury car. I'm sure if EA, Capcom, or Konami could force everyone to purchase an entire new system per game they'd already be flooding the market.

I feel it's up to us as a whole to keep a tight leash on those who provide us with the products we want and remind them that although they tell the stories, we can decide whether or not we want to hear it.

I have absolutely no problem with on disk extra content if the game is a complete product without it. If they cut out important parts of a game just so they can sell it too you later so they force you to pay more for the game it is bad. But that would be just as bad if it was off of disk DLC. Delivery method means nothing to me.

So, their argument is "Well, we don't think it's a big deal. Chill out guys, and just give us your money."

Personally I think that if you make the content in advance, and you put it in a completed state then it should be available at launch. If the DLC amounts to a key to unlock it, that's messed up.

Especially since it's a fighting game, and they're holding playable characters hostage. That's a core part of the game, not a side thing. That should already be available to players.

The DLC isn't out yet but it's coming. I swear I'm not kidding around in the youtube video announcing it they called it the "True Ending DLC".

More like surprised that they think they can ban all players using the content from online multi-playing.
