Characters people love that you hate.

The same goes for pretty much any "badass" character. Wolverine, Wrex, et cetera. I hate them all. But at least most of them don't take the extra step of hypocrisy as well as being an antisocial jerk.

i dont exactly "love Auron" but ffx is my favorite final fantasy so ill have you explain the Hypocrisy thing.

OT: Lacus clyne from gundam seed: all she seems to to is just go on long speeches and play with haros and she's loveed for it (granted as of this post i havent finished gundam seed and ill edit this post if i change my opinion)

Someone mentioned Kamina from Gurren Lagaan, and I'm gonna have to agree, though "hate" might be too strong. I just don't like him that much. I've only seen the first three episodes of the show, but in each one, he boasts about how awesome and outstanding he is and then promptly fails while Simon does the dirty work. He can't seem to back up his confidence. :/

i would tell that there are reasons for kaminas screw ups but that would invoke spoilers and i cant do the stupid tab thing, what i will say is that kamina dosnt deserve the downright worship GL fans have for him (i was like that once)

How could I forget DA2? Except it would be Anders instead of Fenris for me. At least Fenris was new and always sucked while Anders was a cool guy in Awakening.

i fucking hate this guy he is just a jerk! (espacially lately) and somehow he is popular enogh to have survived in a major role for around 50 years!

Cyclops is a real asshole...so is Reed Richards but he doesn't have as many fans.

While I don't hate Mario, I strongly prefer using Luigi in the games wherein that is an option.

This is my first ever post (I think) on this website and I just had to say something. If I'm wrong so be it but, I thought that Nathan Drake is a popular character, yet all the way through Unchartered 2 (which was great), I just wanted to hit that guy so hard it hurt. I've had the same knee jerk reaction to Brody (is that his name? Far Cry 3 "dude"). Although I'll admit it may be more his ridiculous haircut.

The guy's a standard-issue generic protagonist deliberately devoid of defining personality traits! He basically exists only to function as the player's cursor for interacting with the game world! They made him as bland as a 2X4 in a clown wig specifically so the vast majority of players would be able to project their own personality onto him!

Yeah, I can easily see how one might find Chrono boring or underdeveloped, but how do you manage to actually dislike him? Would you care to elaborate?

I just don't understand its fascination with the show. Trust me, I've tried watching it - I figured I might as well since it's already pretty much everywhere - I just couldn't get into it with the kind of fervor that everyone else has.

First off, while Jon is a bastard, he is Eddard's (or Lyanna's) child, so I think he counts when we are talking about Starks. Secondly, your point about Tyrion is plain wrong. He's as Lannister as a Lannister can be. This is even straight up told to us by by his aunt (Genna):

"Jaime, sweetling, I have known you since you were a babe at Joanna's breast. You smile like Gerion and fight like Tyg and there's some of Kevan in you, else you would not wear that cloak...but Tyrion is Tywin's son, not you. I said so once to your father's face, and he would not speak to me for half a year."

Tyrion is very Lannister like and it's ok to love him (though Jaime's still better).

The cast of Entourage. Just a bunch of smug assholes. I wouldn't have a problem with that except they're just not funny or entertaining enough to make up for it.




Rainbow Dash. Well, "hate" is too strong a word, but she's definitely at the bottom for me. It's a shame, because I normally like tough and somewhat jerky tomboy characters like her and when I first started checking out MLP, I found myself liking her most. But as I watched more episodes, I just found her cockiness and arrogance more and more annoying. It really doesn't help that she's overrated as all hell among the MLP fandom.

I also hate her Sonic Rainboom, especially since it was revealed to be the catalyst behind the origin stories of all the other characters, which is just such a Mary-Sue thing to do. That just left a bad taste in my mouth and forever ruined the character for me.




Brian Griffin. I just hate it whenever he spews his preachy bullshit. When Quagmire called him out on all his bullshit, I practically stood up and applauded.
