Every single southpark character. I want the town to collapses into a crater like Sunnydale at the end of Buffy. Also Sgt. Hatred from venture bros. They never should have made him a main character. And Captain Quark.

They should've killed off Raiden (MGS4) when they had the bloody chance. Now he's going to plague the series forever.

3 pages and no mention of Duke Nukem? Though I guess you could salvage that mess. Throw in some modern sensibilities/sens of humor, a little self awareness and that character could work again

The whole cast of SR3. I hated everyone. They were bland and anoying. I really wished i could kill all those purple dressed clowns and start a new gang.

I don't think any characters need to be killed off completely, just given a rest until they can do something different (basically, when a new console comes along).
Nintendo do seem to get this much at least. At least most Zelda games are a little different (except for you, Twilight Princess. Go die in a hole.)

Gordon Freeman. Replace him with a mannequin.

What? At least the mannequin will add more personality to the game.

I had no ideas until this. When Zelda as a series ends (haha, like that'll ever happen), Link should be the one to die via sacrifice or something and become a legend.....Then they can title future games in the series "The Legend of Link" and you play as Zelda, reverse irony.
Wouldn't work, every Link is a different Link so if one dies heroically they could easily make a new game.

Captain Commander Shepard. But in the way I wanted God dammit! He should of died taking down the final reaper with a single pistol shot.

Edit: Christ I called the protagonist to my favourite series the wrong thing. I'll go shoot myself now.

Isaac Clarke's new Soldier friend for Dead Space 3. Kill him on the first chapter, like every other person.

The entire supporting cast of the Sly Raccoon games. We got to play less and less as Sly throughout the first three games. Hope they've changed that for the upcoming game. >.<

Nathan Drake, "Uncharted". Should've died at the end of Uncharted 3. He spends the whole game listening to people warning him that this time, he might finally go to far and do something he won't be able to take back. Then at the end...He doesn't. He's totally fine, and as a result, the game pretty much stops moving right before it gets awesome. What SHOULD have happened is
Talbot should have successfully extracted the Demon Vessel, only to have Drake release them just to satisfy his moronic curiosity. When the demons start being, well, demonic, he realizes his mistake and decides to sink the city to imprison them again (Brass vessel, "City of Brass") and dies helping Sully escape.
As it is, the game is just anti-climactic.
Unless you consider the possibility that he never left the desert, and all of the lucky things that happen to him after that are hallucinations as he slowly dies of dehydration. For a while I honestly thought they were gonna pull that card.

OT: I can't really think of much. I've always thought it'd be interesting to do a James Bond where he dies at the end, which would certainly support the whole 'cover identity that gets passed on' theory.

Desmond Miles - The most boring possible character in the most exciting possible universeTm
Best idea here, Desmond is actually just a boring ancestor who's life is being experienced by a new unseen protagonist from even farther into the future.
I think they should wait until he's fully trained up in the animuses (animae?...hang on....animus - i -um, second declension, "soul". Second declension goes like dominus...so dominus, domine, dominum...I'll get back to you) he should get out of the animus, ready to do battle with the Templars. He stride out of the door of the building and gets hit by a tram, killing him instantly
Aha a fellow latin scholar I see, just don't ask me anything because I don't pay attention and sit in the corner sniggering whenever someone called pubulus is mentioned .
I think Desmond needs to die....spectacularly. His story barely moved anywhere in revelations.
AC III is the last Assassin's Creed game to feature Desmond (or so the rumour goes)

Kratos(God of War) - he's dead leave him be!
Cole(InFAMOUS) - same as above!
Cole already died in the "good" ending, which is stated to be the canon ending.

All the Simpsons. They're just regurgitating old jokes by projecting them on to sorta-new subject matter.

Lara Croft
Although they already did in Tomb Raider 4......and than brought her back.
Well, they're making an entirely new Lara, how's that?

OT: None. Nothing that an actually good reboot can't fix.

My choices have already been mentioned before... but, I'll mention them myself.

Not because I hate the character but because the good ending of inFAMOUS 2 has him give up his life and the life of all conduits to save the majority of humanity. Cole had a grand, noble death and bringing him back for an inFAMOUS 3 would absolutely ruin that.

Yeah, you heard me. The fact that Shepard dies in the majority of the ME3 endings are one of the few things about them that I don't hate. Shepard making the ultimate sacrifice to save the galaxy seems like a no brainer, besides the space Jesus metaphor wouldn't work otherwise.

Specifically from the Dark Knight series. Though I don't think Batman as an identity will die, more likely Bruce Wane as Batman will die. We'll see what happens when TDKR comes out, but it seems fitting for Master Wayne to perish, thus solidifying Batman as a symbol.

Thrall from WoW.

I actually liked this guy when I first started playing a few years back, but he's gone from cool to uninteresting. Sometimes, it seems like they try to make him outshine every other character in the game including the players (though players are kind of second to all NPCs in the first place in that game). I just think that Thrall has reached his maximum, so it's time for him to go.

Anyone actually important and powerful and a good guy in Bleach. Seriously no good guy who is powerful and important dies in it. But if the foreshadowing proves true Yammamoto and Mayuri both may be on the way out this arc.
QUIET! George R.R. Martin might hear you!

I know that only 2 Starks are actually dead but am I the only one who only wanted Catelyn to die out of all the Starks? She started all the grief which led to the war of the 5 kings by jumping the gun and kidnapping Tyrion. She released the Kingslayer, which though it led to his sorta internal redemption, still was a major screw up for the war effort. Even when she's dead she manages to almost hang Brienne because she's too damn crazy to believe a word she says.

I am certain that if Catelyn died at the start of the first book, the worst of the strife on the Starks would not have happened

First, not to be anal or anything, but it's not Doctor Who. It's just the Doctor.

Also, the classic series has established that Time Lords can only regenerate 12 times, which means the Thirteenth Doctor may be the final one, assuming that the BBC adheres to the continuity as strictly as they claim to.

On a side note, though, why kill the Doctor? The show is still interesting and ratings are still extremely high.
\

Do you know how many times Doctor Who has broken its own continuity, retconned something, or just ignored everything? To paraphrase TV Tropes, Doctor Who has negative continuity.

Yeah that game just had something wrong with it, I think they went for far to much bat shit insane stuff and forgot to keep the characters interesting. Case in point; wtf happened to shaundi? At least when she was a complete stoner she came out with some funny lines every so often, Shaundi 2.0 was just so boring.
