I honestly want to throw up....This is humiliating. Hell, the guys on FOX NEWS are calling you soul-less and twisted! FOX NEWS!! Hell, If there were a group of people I wish were dead, it'd be these twits.

The Comic-con Stuff is clearly just the tip of the iceberg. if, as these people say america is on the down turn, then it is because of insane, twisted, sexist and manipulative individuals like these.

As a Protestant who grew up in a very religeous home, I find individuals like this deeply disturbing and frightening. They are just as vile as extremists who perform terrorist acts - the only difference is they feel they can get better results by pretending to conform to the law and abusing our priveledge of free speech.

Anyone who uses religeon to suppress the rights of homosexuals, alternative lifestyles, or people of another religeon is off their rocker, but these people catapulted off and swan dived over the side of the porch.

Whenever I hear of the WBC protesting a funeral for a soldier that died, I only have one idea for a counter protest...

When that old f--k that is their patriarch dies, I'm going to get some people to protest his funeral. Show them what it's like.
This is of course assuming they don't secretly have him undergo taxidermy when he dies and pretend he's immortal.
They could be that bat-shit crazy, and the guy barely makes public appearances as it is...

Don't care. The less spoken about them the less power given to them.

But Thor is a god. So praying to him wouldn't be too weird.
"Thou shalt put no other god before Me."

If anything, they're even more pissed now.

i know a guy who is part of this club of people never heard much about them
they are basically antiprotestors who protest protestors
they put on Guy Fawkes masks and wreck havok on the protests of Homosexuals, Jews, superman
and they have crossed paths with these nutjobs on occasion

something interesting to post, it doesnt matter much what these nutjobs do since people are not very gullable or at least not gullable enough to fall for the church fanatic telling them that superman is the devil

(Face Palms) Are you FUCKING KIDDING ME?!?!? Not these loonies again... Makes me want to get a ticket to San Diego, not just for the Comic Con... but also to buy art supplies and/or a paintball gun.

And now for something completly different: comic quotes!

"It's hard to be religous when certain people aren't incinerated by bolts of lighting." - Calvin, Calvin and Hobbes

"Extremism makes things so inconvinent." - Opus, Bloom County

"Everybody says you shouldn't be judgmental, but how can you help it when life is filled with so many idiots?" - Rat, Pearls Before Swine

You're free to believe in what you want, but not to them.

If I had to guess... the fact that Thor has a comic about him is probably going to enrage them even further and if they already know - they probably do - it's one of the largest reasons they've chosen to attack the San Diego Comic-Con. What's funny is that they'd get just as equally pissed if a comic about God existed.

I don't believe in it.I just like it more than any other religion. It states that the earth was made out of the corpse of a Jötun. And that its skin is the ground that we live upon. His blood is the seas we sail upon. And that his heart is the earths core.
How sweet does that sound?

Blast it! when will you people learn?

This is America, we promote freedom of religon here, people. If it's against your religion and it's not illegal, leave it alone.

I thought this country has grown out of that silly frantic attitude. clearly not.

Really? I mean is anyone here really surprised at this? I mean they picket damn near everything, nothing they do really surprises me at all anymore. Although if I had my way anyone who actually DID worship comic characters on the same level as a god, would be thrown in the same madhouse as these twits.

Damn it. Looks like I'll have to cancel my Church of Howard the Duck, yet again.

Are you kidding?!
Yeah; I'm kidding. But I had you going, didn't I?
If these people would spend even some of the energy that they spend on these comic books, reading the Bible, well no high hopes here.
Well, it's kinda hard to get Kingdom Come to be accepted as the Geek's Holy Bible when there's no one to fund the church for it.
They have turned comic book characters into idols, and worship them they do!
I would think Hellstorm [http://www.comicvine.com/hellstorm/29-14695/] would disagree.
Isaiah 2:8 Their land also is full of idols; they worship the work of their own hands, that which their own fingers have made: 9 And the mean man boweth down, and the great man humbleth himself: therefore forgive them not. It is time to put away the silly vanities and turn to God like you mean it.
Sheesh; that's a low blow to the Olympians. I mean, they've had it the hardest in this day and age.
The destruction of this nation is imminent - so start calling on Batman and Superman now, see if they can pull you from the mess that you have created with all your silly idolatry.
Listen here, pal. God will always be there for me to call on...as option B. Option A is Joe Pesci.*

*+500 Internet Points if you get that joke.

Very sweet, however, I was sold on the concept of Valhalla.

Yet don't feel that I can find anything worthy to slay in their name to earn my place, so I'm just going to twiddle my thumbs into heaven and hope that it works like the movie What Dreams May Come, I never managed to find the book if there is one.
