Let's assume clock is correct. It's been a while. ^^

Just to keep this thread going, I'll post a simple mathematical question, rather than a riddle. kailus13, looking forward to your riddle! :D

You find before you a chess table. A chess table has 64 squares.
in the first square, you will put one coin, in the second, you will put two.
At the third square, you double the number of coins - you put four coins.
the fourth square will have eight, the fifth sisxteen.

You double the amount of coins for every square. How many grains will there be on the chess table in total?

The answer might blow your mind!

1 x 2^65 = 3.689348815 x 10^19
0r about 36,893,488,150,000,000,000 coins or grains of rice, give or take 10,000,000,000.

This topic is actually what made me aware of this page.
I was looking for a riddle to give someone and found this page.
So far I have read every riddle posted here.
The one about the river "I run but never walk, I have a mouth yet never talk" is used the most.

There will be exactly zero grains. You're putting down coins. Well, unless there was already grains for some reason? Either way, the answer is probably zero. But, once again, I have no riddle to post. Anyone who desires it may take my turn.

I have no answer of my own, however I love riddles and would like to see this thread active :)
So here's one. I apologize if it already has been done.

If you throw me from the window, I will leave a grieving wife.
Bring me back, but in the door, and you'll see someone giving life!
What am I?

Since nobody has posted anything in the last 3 months, I'll go ahead and post my own riddle:
What has a head but can't think, a body but no organs, and hops but can't move on its own?
