I feel horrible that I didn't get those references now. And I call myself a Star Wars fan? For shame.

Although, to be perfectly fair, I haven't seen that specific movie since I was about... 7 years old, which was about... 11 years ago? How time flies...

I thought the Lucas thing was months ago. And they do it every few years anyway. Tell me Star Wars isn't the most washed-up, whored-out, garbaged once-cool license in the industry. Seriously. It's a train-wreck.

Great comic, althoug I wonder if "beerbitch" woudln't lead to an earlier punch in the face.

So yeah [http://www.escapistmagazine.com/news/view/103196-LucasArts-Axes-Staff], a bunch of dudes got laid off at Lucas Arts.

One of gaming culture's most annoying habits, in my oh so humble opinion, is the inability to separate a giant faceless asshole corporation from the people who work there. As If Joe in accounting is somehow entirely responsible for screwing up the Star Wars prequels or everyone at Activision agreed to the ridiculous 14 dollar price point for the MW2 mappacks
Never is this more absurd and insensitive than when a bad developer lets staff go. That's when the various basement dwellers of the internet come to enact justice by making snide comments on the internet about people who are now probably in dire financial straights. When the company involved is Lucas Arts? Well... the jokes just come naturally. [http://www.escapistmagazine.com/articles/view/comics/critical-miss/8119-Critical-Miss-36]

While the Force Unleashed 3 getting canceled was no big deal to me. The series has always and would always have been a poor man's Jedi Outcast. The weird announcement that there are going to be no more 3rd party Star Wars games caught me by surprise especially considering Traveller's Tales' "Lego Star Wars" was a popular success and Bioware's KOTOR was certainly a critical one. This announcement should have essentially read "No more good Star Wars games. Ever."

Unless they get working on a sequel to X_Wing vs Tie Fighter. I could totally get behind that.

I'm really surprised at the lack of people getting the star wars references. I liked the comic a lot, very funny.

Should have used one of those comic book POW!'S.

Otherwise good.
Cory will be happy to hear that. The original version did have one but I took it out as I thought the more subdued, realistic punch got the point across better.

we actually had one of those in before but we didnt really like how it came out. I did something stupid like "BLAOW" which kinda turned us off the idea afterward and we never went back to it unfortunately

I guess canadian beer.
Belgian beer, get it right. It even says "Belgium's Original Beer" on the label.

Actually it's manufactured all over the world. Stella's like Heineken, it's mass produced everywhere but marketed so people think it's actually good when it's pretty mediocre. That being said there are thousands of worse beers. Budweiser for example. There's so much rice in that shit you don't know if you're getting a six pack or a sushi box.

I'd think with a name lie "Stout" Erin wouldn't be drinking pilsners.

It's no wonder Lucasarts is floundering if they have Spock working on Star Wars games. How do you mix those up?

Plus, for the developers that got laid off, it could be worse. They could be working at Lucasarts.
