FFXIV Stop making every fight the same and every dungeon the same. Also, stop having obnoxiously tight enrage timers on incredibly mechanical fights, also let us use our CC to speed run better if we want to, let us play how we want. Try to make things more varied and interesting, and for gods sake amp up the difficulty a bit during levelling and stuff so people hit 60 with half an idea of what the hell to do. No, it's not ok for that Dragoon to be doing 200 dps in fucking raids at level 60, but it's the developers fault for never putting anything challenging anywhere then buckling within a few weeks when the official forum bursts with crybabies over how "the story instance is to hard I pay my $6 a month to play pushing only 2 buttons waaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaah nerf it hold my hand senpai".

You were doing so well to.
I wish there were more interesting fights than a circular arena with some mechanics thrown in, when we do get an interesting one (Steps of Faith) people complain about it because they can't read tool tips and cry for a nerf, despite it not actually being all that difficult. Not to mention the final trial was pathetically easy (even the Ultima Weapon at the end of 2.0 was challenging at the appropriate gear level)

There is a difference between playing casually and not having any grasp on how your class works. I'm patient with new/bad players as well.

Also, in addition to my original post, I thought up some more.

Shin Megami Tensei IV: Overworld exploration is a pain in the ass, being very darkly lit and it being hard to navigate, not to mention all the random encounters (mitigated with Estoma Sword, but you have to go into the menu and activate it constantly) Not to mention flipping through menu's can be super slow and tedious, with every demon that levels up on my team wanting to give me a bloody life stone or change a skill, adding more stuff to flick through.
Gee, thanks!

Final Fantasy IX: Impressing 100 Noble's is fucking bullshit!

Skyrim: Being a mage is awkward, since you have to go through your favourite menu to pick every spell every time, generally this involves summoning a creature, shielding yourself then selecting your offensive magic, then you have to go to healing when hurt and back to offensive, it wouldn't be so bad if it wasn't so tedious at times.

Fallout New Vegas: I played it on 360, it crashed a fucking lot, t

They left it in a broken state and unless you play on PC, are shit out of luck.
Fuck those last 2 nobles.

Also Fallout 3 doesnt run on PC's from past like 2006.

also yes, learn to play your class, the game could do a better job teaching it to you though. People play it as an FF not an MMO and in most FF games you can mash X to win.

FO 3 runs just fine on my 1 year old computer.

OT: FO 3: The plot is pretty lame, and the original ending was beyond silly, before they fixed it with that DLC.

Babylon 5: The acting could get cheezy at times, and the CGI for some of the sequences really hasn't held up well. The space battle shots I think are pretty good, but the interior CGI they used for the space station itself could be....horrible at times.

Tell me how because on mine it crashes in somewhere between 30 seconds and 15 minutes every time I try and no amount of tweaking fixes it. What sort of CPU/GOU combo? How? Because I really want to play it but it just dies every last time.

I may be a little late for this entry but one for the record, starting with MGSV;
No, not the typical complaint of certain attires, but more of the voice acting of Emmerich or maybe Ocelot, Haz, paz, dunno, I can never tell. Whoever it is that feels the need to pester me during missions.
At first, the voice acting was endearing (a generous word for now)bad...but after repeated sessions, it takes on other forms such as sarcsam or creepiness. Like seriously, Sir Emmelot, I know I don't have go out of my way to disrupt communications, you tell me every. Fucking. Time. You sarcastic ****. Try doing this yourself!
Then there are the child prisoner rescue missions where the bad acting makes his "grrr, look at them, making me worry like that," sound like the hauntingly empty attempts at conveying parental love by a psychopathic parent to avoid looking bad when someone else finds their half-starved, bruised kid rifling through their bin.
I shiver everytime he utters those words.
Was MGS writing/V-A always this bad?
I was too young/unsober at the time, to tell.

This thread looks like fun! Time to dive in :D

Games

Final Fantasy 4: This is my favorite game of all time, but I recognize there are many other games in the series, or just in general, that have better (more fleshed out) gameplay, stories and characters.

Final Fantasy 6: I love this game, but I felt well over half the playable cast served little to no purpose to the main plot. Frankly, the cast should've been cut in half.

Final Fantasy Tacitcs: This game is one of the most fun games I've ever played; I just wish the story wasn't, in my opinion, "terrible."

Chrono Trigger: Again, love this game, but Crono is a very boring character. Yes I realize he's a "silent protagonist," but a lot of what he does is very reactionary and/or dependent on the suggestions and orders of other characters.

Mega Man II: Another one of my favorites, but that "wall" boss in Wily's Castle is just stupidly unfair.

Shovel Knight: Love Shovel Knight mode, but Plague Knight is too hard to control.

Sims Series: I like the concept of all the expansions, but it's pretty clear that they've turned into a fairly shameless cash-grab.

_______

Television (specifically animation)

Family Guy: I stopped liking the show somewhere around the time the main punch-lines seemed to be "abuse is hilarious."

Rick and Morty: This has recently become one of my new favorite shows, and this is a pure nit-pick, but I don't care for the stylistic choice for the characters' iris shapes.

South Park: The show is still funny, but it got a bit to topical for my tastes.

going to down a rabbit whole but growing up my favorite cartoon was "Ranma 1/2", when that was a thing in the 90s. I accept now that its pretty unwatchable. I couldn't even tell you what I liked about it, it was just hilarious to me.

Lily Allen
I always liked your distinctive voice ever since I heard you on that song you did with Common way back in 2007
Why did you have to ruin your newest album by autotuning all of your tracks
That doesn't make it good! That makes it bad!
I'm not a lilly allen fan but this is generally one of my favorite songs so I wanted to share(yes Im one of those mashup people)
It was a pretty good mashup but I just prefer the original instrumentation

Oh in the Galaxy Angel series of Visual Novels that I adore I was on more than one occasion really pissed off by how dense Tact Mayers acted especially in Eternal Lovers. It made me want to strangle him. So many times he said the wrong thing or was completely oblivious to a problem one of the girls he was with was facing.
Oh and I didn't like how the game had such a hard time dealing with Mints telepathy that they kept trying to find was in which she would loose her powers in some way. I guess telepaths are just hard characters to write about
