The Timesplitters series is the acutal series that turned me into a full on gamer, please make it Crytek and please make it awesome like the originals.

It would be piss to convert timesplitters into a modern game. Just have like 500+ unlockables. Make the arcade mode have unlockables, but also have other unlockables for a COD style levelling system for multiplayer and you have a game more addictive than crack. Regenerative health would work well in a Timesplitters game, probably make it more frantic as people won't be sitting in corners because their health is low and instead will get stuck in.
Done well it will be fantastic, like Duke Nukem. Two fingers to bland "realistic" fps games, done badly it will be Indiana Jones 4 THERE ARE ONLY THREE DAM IT.

By "update the series to a modern audience" I really hope they don't mean "hurr durr regenerating health, only carry two weapons at a time, levelling, perks, sticky covering systems with chest-high walls all that crap that Halo, CoD and Gears brought into gaming". TimeSplitters is an old-school game, and even Duke is abandoning the "can carry more than two weapons" principal. More TimeSplitters in the classic style, none of this two weapon and regenerating health by hiding crap.
Keep it in the style of the original. Sure add new graphics. But keep it cartoony, health bars, puns galore, over the top guns, instant respawn in multilayer, all the modes from before (virus).
Oh and keep the ability to reload by just moving guns off screen and huge machine guns can be duel wielded.

OH FUCK YES. I would pay literally anything for a new Timesplitters game. Honestly, as long as it has the same feel as the previous ones I will write a blank god damn cheque. But if they end up rebranding it and turning it into something resembling Call of Duty I swear by whatever deity is listening Crytek UK will be the focus of rage the likes of which they have never seen.
I hope they manage to make it like the originals, I would love to do some new versions of those crazy missions and challenges!

All they need to do is put enough madness in to make it fun, because that's what made it so great before wasn't it? The prospect of blowing up snowmen with a dart gun filled with explody poison, or taking on a challenge where it's you versus monkeys using only the banana gun. If they put any focus on current gen graphics or physics where mindless fun should be, it'll end up poor.
